Do you experience vibration and rumbling between 50 and 70 mph?

TSB yet?

Just got back with my first road trip for work (about 1,000 miles).lots of 55-75mph traveling.

Be great to do it without the vibration in that range.

Not taking it in till there is a TSB - dont feel like playing games with Ford service department.

yeah i'm kinda waiting for official acknowledgement from Ford because I already took it in and they replaced a tire and rebalanced. Its our DD so to be without for them to use it as a science experiment isn't in the cards.

Get real... Right now it's case by case why because it's ranging from tires, mounts, exhaust to driveline. It's not narrow down to ONE specific thing that the cause but you still assume it's driveshaft. Your car could be from tire vibration but you will never know since you refuse to take it in. No action means no fix to problem and pouting about means no fix

My car at dealership right now for vibration, parking brake level (light stays on) and cool seats not cooling well in seatback. Mine car has slight vibration did take manager for test drive. With my car since it's slightly vibrations makes it harder to track down. It does it more in hot weather and long drives BUT ATLEAST IT'S SYSTEM AS A COMPLAINT. If you so unwilling to take your car in it won't be in the system as a complaint. Which doesn't help for getting more attention.

why are you mad at me for Ford's low QC?

if they sent a couple engineers out, collected bad driveshafts/output flanges, then took that info and visited the part manufacturer they would find the problem somewhere in that house.

but Ford doesnt care, so instead of wasting my time I'll let others do that, and continue to berate Ford until they escalate this issue, while suggesting to others to not buy a Ford product. :headbonk:

and while they're getting the driveshafts fixed they could also visit the stamping plant and get them to change the drivers rear quarter panel mold.

Some of us would like to actually get service for a known issue instead of be without our cars while the dealership plays assgrab trying to give us the runaround all the while "troubleshooting" the issue. That's what the field engineers are for and that's what everyone is pushing for. That way when you take your vehicle in for a KNOWN and well documented issue, you don't catch any flak and you aren't stuck in a base model work truck f150 as a loaner for 2 months at a time.

Oh and it would also be nice to not have the backwoods hillbilly shop foreman argue with you in the front drive and explain how he has been in the service field for 30 years and that he's not in the "repairing cars" business but the stealing your money business. Even after you ask him if he checked certain things relating to driveline vibration and asking for measurements and inspection notes. And then being told he's not required to write them down. Bullshit! I may be young but I'm not dumb. 10 years working on cars and 5 years and counting in aerospace as an inspector/ops manager/engineer and now gm has taught me a lot..

Now you see why some people are irate and pushing the TSB. There have been plenty of cases to write up a tsb to at least INSPECT certain components of the car for tolerances and abnormal operation. I will continue to piss and moan about it until it's created. 4 dealer visits was enough for me..

All good reasons for Ford to put out a TSB so it will walk dealerships through a logical trouble-shooting path.

Mad no but you are pouting about so it must be normal because you won't take it in :headbonk:. How do you know it's low QC you don't just ranting and have no clue what you're talking about

Do you know what TSB is? Have yet to see one that had flow chart one what to do. Every TSB I've worked with deals in one specific part or product update

SCREAM all you want that you demand TSB doesn't mean you will get one

Your reading comprehension fails you terribly.. Why don't you do something productive and let us whiney babies continue to bitch and moan. You are bitching just as much as the masses, even though yours has no measurable value whatsoever. [emoji5]

Yes, I've seen plenty of TSBs. Depending on the complexity of the problem, there certainly can be trouble-shooting steps in a TSB.

The problem with the vibration issue is that many dealerships obviously don't know the best way to approach the problem, and give up if something simple like tire balancing doesn't work. That's where a TSB would make the whole process of trouble-shooting and finding the cause a followed process for all dealerships, instead of constant shooting in the dark and head scratching and going  by many dealerships it seems.

Ford would actually be going themselves a favor and saving a lot of manpower in the field and on the tech hotline if the dealerships had better detailed info and trouble-shooting logic to follow provided by a TSB.

Actually there is T/S for vibration in there manual. But it's split up in different areas not grouped together.

Don't say that's stupid because Ford not only one who does this

There you go ... any good dealership should have an experienced vibration guy, who would (hopefully) follow any documented trouble-shooting guidelines like those in the service manual.

Doesn't mean it always suffices 100% without a supplementary TSB. If that was the case, there would never have been the invention of TSBs, which are supposed to give even more details and guidelines beyond what's normanly in a basic service manual.
