I have my appt. now for the second try with the vibration issue, which is just as bad as before the driveshaft replacement. But it's just a sat wait on it. What can they do? They had no loaners to let me bring it in and leave it. Are you guys getting loaners? I just asked Ford service about this in my email to update them. Appt. is not until the 27th. In the meantime I only drive the car to work cause I have to. I need to go see my folks down in FL soon and I have no car to do so with, even though I am making payments on a new car! Will be used car again next time. I learned my lesson.

I most definitely received a loaner. All I had to was tell them I didn't want to sit around all day and I lived out of town, which isn't a lie, but they ended up keeping my car for a week so that may also have something to do with it. Ask and you shall receive....I hope!

As far as the work done to my car during the last week.....im utterly disappointed. My car still has the vibration, albeit less then before for sure, it still renders my rear view mirror useless at highway speeds. When asked about the vibration still being there. This was the service manager's response "Remember how before when youd look in the mirror and start feeling dizzy and want to get sick? Well now you just get dizzy." HAHAHA:frusty:

Aside from the vibration issues there were a multitude of concerns I stated during my Wednesday drop off last week. EVERY SINGLE ONE was conveniently not talked about after my drop off. Not to mention the man that brought the car to me in the service drive just parked the car, left it running and said "here you go. You're all set"

EHEM.....what did you do to my car, lets go take a walk around, lets do some quality control here.

Needless to say Zeck Ford in Leavenworth KS will be hearing from someone from Ford if they don't tell me something incredible by noon. Also, they now have a 2nd review on their facebook page informing them of my awesome experience with them.

As I've said before, if you are used to premium brand service, you will be sadly disappointed by virtually any Ford dealer. They just have no consideration for your time. I just dropped my car off for the 10th time. This time they are putting the new trans flange on to fix the clank when it goes into gear. I asked if it will be done today and she said probably not since I didn't have it there when they opened. I said that I could have dropped it off last night if she had told me that. They just don't care. It's ridiculous. I have a Camry rental car. It's nice and smooth at 60mph. How Ford gets away with this sh!t I just don't know but I think I'm probably done with them. Back to the imports.

If I knew buying my first new car of my life would be this stressful I would've kept my 92 Hatch and dumped 10k into that instead of 28k into a problem prone car and a dealership who refuses to help.

I would say this pretty much sums up my experience as well. There is a lot of 'talk' about customer service (from Ford & at the dealerships) and they press you for a good rating on the survey, but there is very little actual energy expended to satisfying the customer. They have zero consideration for your time or the vehicle - it's all about what's most expedient for them & not you. The local dealer here is a perfect example. I went in to get my 1st oil change only to be informed I needed to make a service appointment & they were booked out 4 or 5 days  5 days to get an oil change  it's not like I was asking to have the motor rebuilt or something! I drove 2 blocks away to the Mobil 1 place and was done & back home in an hour.

When I saw my car for the 1st time in 70+ days last week (to clean out my personal things) I was appalled (but, not really surprised) at it's condition. I took it in with a full tank of gas, not a speck of dirt on it & the interior still having that 'new car' smell. Under their stewardship they burned thru 3/4 tank of gas, the rear mudflaps were either stolen or removed & discarded, it was dirty inside & out & loaded with water spots and the interior smelled like the inside of an old oil drum :tsk: When I mentioned the mud flaps they said - Oh, they must have fallen off ! Yeah, right - fell on to the back of someone else's Mustang I suspect :paddle:

I went thinking it was going to be a sad affair parting with the car after all the time & thought I put into building it & the nonsense with the repairs, but seeing it like that I was just glad the whole mess was over with & I would never have to deal with them again.

I just got done sending an email to Ford Service from their website. Hopefully I can get something going and I wasn't too pushy in my message. Hard to express myself with less then 2000 characters haha. Made it clear that I wanted my car done right or they need to buy it back and ill go to another dealer with my business.

My case has officially been escalated. FoMoCo emailed me this morning and we have been talking off and on most of the day. I'll keep everyone posted on the case status.

Of course immediately after receiving my first email from them the dealership decided to finally get back with me.

good luck. you'll get offered an extended warranty which is useless since the included one doesn't get any problems fixed.

I hope I am wrong, my car is in for 7 days now for the same issue.

I'm only 21 so when I was at the dealership buying the car the finance guy had me sold on the Extended Warranty they offered which as soon as I talked to the old folks I learned how idiotic that was haha! You live and learn I guess.

so i've been following this thread since i've owned mine to see everyone's experiences. i too have a very slight vibration ranging at speeds 55-70. it's a drone/hum but doesn't vibrate any of my mirrors or shake me to death. i haven't taken it in because ive read some people's get worse. should i live with it or end up going through this nightmare?

If it doesn't bother you, I wouldn't bother with trying to convince them to fix it honestly. Although if you go in with the SSM # listed previously you might get some free parts from it haha. The driveshaft seems to be the first thing they replace so if your like me and live in the rust belt you might be able to get a clean shaft at least.

My vibration allows me to see almost nothing out of my mirror as soon as I feel it starting to resonate, but they consider that normal until you bitch loud enough and throw the facts at them.

yeah see i think with mine situation it would be hard to convince them. i know it's there. I hear it. It's a drone/hum and only starts at 55 and goes away after 70mph but my my mirrors are fine and car doesn't shake.

Easiest way for you to convince them is to put it on a lift yourself before hand and run it up to whenever you hear the noise is the loudest. if its loud enough to make you cringe then itll be easy to convince them to at least check it out. My noise level was increased an a$$load when I put my car on a lift that's when I said enough is enough im taking it in tonight haha
