Process of elimination, the driveshaft has been replaced 3 times and is balanced by an FSE.
Next is rear diff/pinion flange and half shafts.

If that doesn't work, next would be input shaft on the transmission. Based off their guidance from others' experience with dealer's repairs.

Btw, my car is at its 3rd Dealership now.
Keep us up to date, I'm going to stop by the dealer sometime this week inquiring about the free oil change they owe me and bring up the driveshaft vibration.

I was hoping by now we'd have an answer on what causes it, but it seems like the best answer is "something between the trans output and the rear wheels".

Basically. Today I was informed...

The dealership was forced to throw their hands up and said "Ford is working on a fix, we can't replace anything else " after their engineer came out and confirmed.

2016 Mustang GT with 4K miles.

(3rd) New driveshaft and balanced, rear diff and rear half shafts.
Road force Balanced the tires and switched out wheels with another mustang. No positive result.

I was informed to call my Ford Rep and request a buyback or other action.

Now the process begins... And it's a shame. This is my 4th Mustang.

How is it that many cars are fine, and the bad ones are not able to be fixed? So strange....

Car is even worse now :frusty:
40+ is vibrates your vision and hums loudly.
This car can't be safe to drive.
Can't believe this.

Ford needs to step up now and replace or buy back this car.
We will be in business.

You should get the GM of the dealership to call Ford and go to bat for you. They will process a buyback much faster that way. If they make you do the lemon law, it will be a couple of months.

Heard from Ford today, they are going to buy back my Mustang due to FSE stating (from my guess) that they are unable to repair my vehicle. I mailed an official letter, and they received it Today and called Today.
Talk about a response time! I wonder if my involvement of the BBB Autoline had any persuasion? (smirk) I did not initate the official packet but did submit complaint online, and received a response from the BBB that Ford was notified on my behalf.

Either way, I should hear from the procurement department within 7-10 days and have a check within 30 days from today. The search begins for the next car...

Congratulations.

Might I suggest buying something ultra cheap for a year, saving, and acquiring yourself a wonderful BMW M3/M4 for an off the shelf wonderful driver's car. :)
