OP, you never answered the question from yesterday, Are you for certain turning off TC and advancetrac?

According to your post you called it “the anti-mustang meme” setting. And YES, if you have not deactivated that you will not be able to burn the tires.

I took the car out today and tried all the different modes. None of them make a difference. It feels as if the clutch pedal gets to a certain spot and the ignition shuts off momentarily.
Double check your key FOB setting.
Typically you’ll get two FOB’s, there’s a chance one OR both of the FOB’s are in valet or possibly the teenage driver Mode.
Just a thought.

Good thought, but I don't think that would do it. I have my son's Mustang set up with the MyKey mode, and it doesn't affect acceleration, only maximum speed, and stereo volume etc.

Thanks for all the replies. I will try holding the TC switch up for 10 seconds and then see what happens. I’ll let you all know. Will be later today though. Thanks again.

I feel with these newer cars the gas pedal is really just a sensor telling the computer what you might want to do (like fly by wire on planes). In my old school Fox bodies, you tap the gas, you get the torque instantly. These cars you tap the gas, nothing happens. I'd assume the computer is thinking maybe you didn't want to tap the gas? I find there is a slight (about a half second) delay between getting on it and the car taking off. I also feel the nannies are trying to throw the torque in smoothly so you're right, there is this sense of building torque rather than instantaneous.
All the Coyotes are "throttle by wire" without actual cable from the pedal to the t/body. There shouldn't be any delay else something is wrong (imagine all the fly-by-wire aircraft out there; a delay could be catastrophic). My car is an automatic but it takes off when I hit the throttle, but just slight tire chirp initially if TC is on. With TC off, it smokes the tires, no bogging, no hesitation. I'd take the car back to the dealer and have them fix it.

In normal mode I can easily break traction in first & second.
GTPP, Cradle is locked out, Steeda red Diff bushings, Shaftmasters Al driveshaft, Bret Barber CNC 80mm TB mod, GT350 intake manifold.
NO tune yet !
how do you not have a tune with a 350 intake and a throttle body?

I have the same problem as the OP. Complained about it in many threads and most people don't believe it. It's especially bad when pulling into heavy traffic and trying to accelerate quickly. (90 left hand turn) VERY dangerous. A really hot and humid day seems to make it worse also. It's obvious when it happens it's the computer not giving you all the power until the car straitens up starts moving. While the gearing is higher in the 2019+ that's certainly not the cause.

@Dfeeds has the right idea.

The gearing is taller in first gear but not that much... there's a ton of torque management/truncation going on at a software level. If I accidentally dump the clutch or screw up a take off the car bogs for a second or two before regaining itself

Side note but the higher compression of the gen 3 makes it a bit more sensitive to knock, especially at low rpms. The stock tune won't hesitate to retard the crap out of the car, especially on a hot and humid day. Even with the FRPP tune, I gotta mix in a little bit of e85 to get rid of some low end hesitation. Even 93 doesn't cut it.

I have a 3.55 gear rear end as far as I know. I doubt the previous owner changed that. The car had 2800 miles on it when I bought it. He had put the Steeda H pipe on it and Borla Type-S axle backs on it. I do not know if it was tuned at all. I bought it from a dealer so I never got to talk to the previous owner. I took the car out today and tried all the different modes. None of them make a difference. It feels as if the clutch pedal gets to a certain spot and the ignition shuts off momentarily. I guess I will just take it to Ford and see if they can figure it out. It's not that I want to be doing burnouts all the time or anything, but it just bugs me that I can't take off as fast I feel I should be able to. I was hoping someone was going to tell me I had the anti mustang meme setting activated or something like that.
My 2018 procedure: Press the button to turn off TC. Rev to 4,000, just to be sure. Let out the clutch. Floor it. Hold redline for a hundred feet, or until the rear steps out. Look at the stripes and smoke cloud in the rear view. Leave before someone calls the cops.

If you can't do this, I blame the previous owner for messing something up.

edit: I have no modes or tune. I have the same gearing, engine and trans as you. 100 degree day? no problem!

I'm with the vote something is wrong with some of these cars. I can easily try and kill myself in mine , I mean little effort. Don't even get me started on redlight take-offs in the rain.

That sounds like my same problem.

Ok so after work tonight I turned off the Traction Control for 10 seconds and got the message on the dash that Advancetrac was off. I revved the motor to 4k and let out the clutch. It still started to bog a little but then I guess because the rpm's were so high it kicked in and the tires spun till I let off the gas. Seems like a lot of effort compared to my previous car. I'm still gonna take it to Ford as I don't think this is normal. I will let you all know what I find out. Thanks for all your input.
