Sorry if this was covered in the first 17 pages, but is this duct worth $100 over simply dremeling holes in the honeycomb?

You should do both, the duct ensures all the airflow from the honey comb enters the air box and as such at high speeds you will get a ram air effect which can be good for upto 10BHP and improved throttle response.

I did this on my car and the car has better throttle response, IAT's stay within 5c of outside ambient temp and going WOT at 70mph the car just accelerates instantly and pulls so hard.

Got some custom fender coyote head emblem from velossa tech and I love how it came together. Who's interested in some. Velossa tech can make it in different colors of course.

Been a few months but is that group buy still on? I'd like a red one.

If my memory serves me correctly, when I installed mine there was excess going around the grille opening as well as into the rubber for the airbox. You should be ok I would think. If not, you could just glue in into place as you mentioned.

It should be ok with that grill since you are using the stock rib as a template. The intake floats in between the grill and the stock inlet port. It can move axially, not a whole lot but there is some extra room if you need to create a gap.
