I'm looking for pictures of Velocity Blue 2020 GT500 with window tint. I want to be able to see at night but also want to make sure it is dark enough to look good. The place that will be installing it is suggesting 35% ceramic tint. If possible pictures and percent of tint would be great! Thanks

I don’t have a photo yet but when the snow lifts and the salt clears I’ll be getting mine done in 35% ceramic on all windows and 50% on the windshield.

I did this on my 97 and it looks great! I can’t see much difference at night with the front window tinted and that’s with the old 97 crappy headlights. Probably will be even less noticeable with the 2020.

Here you go. 20% tint
Driveway 1.jpg

The 20% looks amazing! That's what I have on my F350 and while it looks great it can be somewhat hard to see out the side windows at night. I've had a couple of instances pulling out of parking lots and struggling to see pedestrians walking down sidewalk. I've learned to just roll the windows down when in doubt. My other concern is tickets. I've never been pulled over in my truck but I think this car is going to get a lot more attention! My wife's vote is for 20%. Good chance that is what we will end up with since it looks amazing!

The local constabularies down this way frown on the illegal tinting and give citations regularly. Don't need that but do want to get her glass tinted so the plan is just to go with the lowest legal which, around here anyway, is 35 percent. The vehicle will almost never be driven after sunset.

Hats off to you though Finch and hope you can skate by cuz it darn sure looks badass.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was wanting to see. This has me leaning towards 35%. I think it is dark enough against the blue to look sharp but not scream "give me a ticket"! The 20% looks amazing but I'm not sure I want to deal with the chance of having to remove it later. Here in Michigan you remove it or it's a fine and 2 points. The fine isn't a problem but the points on your drivers license can get real expensive.

Do not forget the windshield. Really cuts down on heat and glare. You must use ceramic and keep it to no more than 70%. It is imperceptible and will not get you a ticket.

Here is what I used.

Me thinks I'll keep the windshield tint-free. It's not in the sun much and when it is, the old sunscreen works just fine. But that back window, that's the one that creates the dang heat, it has to be tinted before next summer.

actually, the front windshield is the most heat adding effect to your driving. its coming directly onto you.

The back window is a lot of glass! I hadn't really given any thought to the windshield. Something else to ponder.

sunlight in rear, goes into rear seat. sunlight in front windshield, hits you directly. you feel those rays, the ceramic film blocks a lot of them, you will still get sunlight on you, but the heat won't be there. its weird,

I have 80% tint, but there's also a 90%, 80% is literally invisible, but 90% even more so.

this is my car. I am 55% around the sides, and 80% on windshield.

windshield tint- designed just for windshield.

LLumar Clear Window Tint Series
Premium protection and comfort that’s better than factory glass alone.

The LLumar AIR Series can keep you safer on the road every day, just like your brake pads and air bags. This film is a barely visible, micro-thin layer of nano-ceramic tint technology – but without the window-darkening tint.

Install AIR to upgrade your factory window glass with more protection from shattering, heat and glare, and a shield against 99% of the sun’s harmful UV rays that’s recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation. Because it’s barely detectable, LLumar AIR film can even be installed on factory-tinted windows. It’s an optically clear layer that enhances performance without altering your vehicle’s exterior look, or your views of the road.

Another vote for ceramic tint on the windshield. I have 70% on my GT500 and both trucks (windshields).
