The part numbers look correct. You'll need valve cover gaskets, and be careful with the connectors. Check timing chains while you're in there. Reset KAM after install so the ECU relearns. LU47 injectors and fresh plugs are a good call if tuning.

Was able to get part from local dealer, Got it in. Everything looked gorgeous under the valve cover, chains tight and clean. Everything looked perfect. Startup was super lumpy though. I expected it because I had cleaned the crusty ring around the throttle body butterfly. But even so, it ran rough longer than expected. I let it get fully warm, drove it around a little, and it seems fine now.

Question is: Any value in doing a crank relearn? I did not replace the cam sensor. Only the phaser solenoids. Is there any potential problem with doing a crank relearn?

Also, just adding to the thread for any future thread viewers:

If you are struggling with the dipstick tube - know that mine was kind of dirty so I didn’t see it at first. But, there is a clip that will prevent you from rotating it enough to remove. You’ll see it in the pic below. Just use a small screwdriver to release it and the tube will twist right out.

I wouldn’t do a crank relearn unless you had some compelling reason to do it, like an error code or misfire detected.
Agreed. In my case when I did one it kept the fuel system monitor from completing until I drove like 800 miles, lol. And that's with the stock tune.

So... I changed my oil last weekend (went from 5w30 Motorcraft to 5w20 due to none in stock). Prob going to jinx myself but idle has been smooth since. This is in ATL traffic so it definitely gets put to the test. Still going to have to deal with it at some point, but sanity for now.

Hey, just looking to see if those parts you mentioned in your OP were the correct ones. I’m about to order them but wanted to make sure. Also, I’m under the impression that you need to order 2 of each. Is this true?
