Problem is a premium loaded GT is like $10k or more cheaper with only 20 less hp.
MSRP is 3-4k less for GT Premium PP1 with Magneride and active exhaust. And non-PP1/no-Magneride/no-AE is uncomparable, apples to oranges, really. If you want handling, you need at least PP1 and then the jump is very small.

With under invoice pricing, the difference is bit bigger but with for example Granger only very mildly. Unless Mach 1 elsewhere had ADM where it can be 10k diff indeed.

Price the GT PP1 and Dark Horse and you'll see, it's the same.

It didn't seem like that great a number to me?

Autotrader was showing 1023 Mach 1s total, nationwide. 268 of those are used. If I believe 12,000 total were ever produced, that's roughly 9% (1023/12000) new and used in the open market right now.

IDK. 9% too much?

Autotrader was showing 1000+ Mach 1s total, nationwide. A bit over 200 of those are used. If I believe 12,000 total were ever produced, that's roughly 8% (1000/12000) new and used in the open market right now. I am generalizing the numbers.

IDK. 8% too much?
again I ask, how many GT s for some perspective?

Nationwide search of "Mustangs" from 2020 to present yields 9,421 for sale. Production: 177000 from 2020 to 1st quarter of 2023. 5% (9421/177000) ever produced in that timeframe are for sale.

IDK. Absolute numbers, 10,000 Mustangs , MY2020 to present for sale; that sounds like a lot, 10,000. But that's only 5% of the total take.

Only 5% (all Mustangs)- 9% (of all Mach 1s) for sale. Stepping back and looking at any item, any asset for sale, 5-9% doesn't seem like much of an excess, much of an inventory.

People were trying to flip them for a profit during the supply chain disruption. Friend of my dad bought 4 Corvettes, 1 to own, 3 to flip. Now it's all flopped.
LOL okay now we have to know, where are the cars?? Did the guy ever sell them? Any of them get repossessed yet by the bank?

The TREMEC alone is worth it, but add in the active coolers for the diff and transmission, the far better looking front and rear fascia's, and all the stuff a PP GT gets and I'd say it is worth the price jump. Of course, if you buy an automatic MACH1, you've made the wrong choice and definitely should have bought a GT

I agree. That s my story. went to order a GT and the order bank I was told was closed to Gt, but he said I can order a M1 for only a few thousand more and went thru that list of value items I would get. Yes, the tremec alone was probably worth the upgrade cost.
Plus a numbered car (if that means anything).

Not really, the automatic is improved too and very equipped for lengthy track sessions :sunglasses:
I'm sure it's great, but I'm a purist and will not be driving an automatic sports car until I lose my left leg, or simply cannot shift myself.

Not really. It's was $15k difference between my gt vs mach 1. For that extra $15k I can buy another car!

Sorry but that’s an opinion.

Mine is totally different.
I like all the wheel choices on the Mach 1. I do think that the “base” Mach 1 wheel is more heritage/classic Mach 1 looking than the others which have more of the PP2/GT350 flavor to them. To some the Mach 1 is a GT350 replacement. That’s absolutely awesome if that’s what you’re after. To me, five spoke wheels are forever and were common on Mach 1 from day one.

I think a lot of folks bought these thinking they’d be good daily drivers ( like a GT) and found out the gas mileage and track focused orientation gets old quick for some folks. it’s the same as what happened to GT350, there was a bunch resale also.
I have 8k miles on mine. This car is a pleasure to drive as a daily no complaints.

A GT is just a GT. This car is way more special, I had a GT but this FJG HP is something else.
