Official 3.4? Nope. Doubt this will ever become an official release for MY18, &19. Buying a MY20 seems to be the only official way to get it.
I agree. My best guess is that the APIM on the 2020 cars using 3.4 is different than our 2018+/2019's. Otherwise why just not release it?

So this would be the latest hardware module, running 3.4? Or is it just a ver 3.0 software upgraded to 3.4?

https://www.google.com/search?q=syn...0l4j69i60l3.5399j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
The hardware module (APIM) that runs 3.4 officially from Ford would have to come out of a 2020 car that came with 3.4. Those running 3.0 do not have to do anything with the APIM as the Cyanlab software makes the necessary changes to allow 3.4 to work. Some of us with 3.3 are still waiting for an official 3.4 update but those you do not want to wait can also use the Cyanlab software to get the upgrade to 3.4. Honestly do not know if there is any reason to update your APIM from 3.0 to 3.3 if you are planning on going to 3.4.

Now for those with Nav, 3.4 already has 1.19 maps as part of the update. For those of us with 3.0 or 3.3 the 1.19 map update is coming on the 29th.

I believe WOTS is that the 2019/2020 share the same spec APIM, and the '18 is slightly different (CPU/RAM/etc.)

When Ford went to 3.3 sometime during the 18MY run is when they changed the APIM. That is the same APIM that is in all of the 19's. Now they probably didn't change anything for 2020. It just an idea of mine that they could have and that is why there hasn't been a 3.4 official update. I also thought that maybe we would get a version of 4.0 but that doesn't seem likely. Only Ford knows?

Well, that's a good point. I mean, there's nothing compelling from a sales standpoint, it's not like '19 owners are going to upgrade to the exact same car ('20) for a minor version upgrade to the tech stack. If it was the same APIM, releasing it would generate a huge amount of goodwill, customer retention, etc.

If there's some kind of hardware concern however ...

Interesting points:

MyFord Touch and Sync were Microsoft developed (and universally panned)
Sync3 is Blackberry developed (and generally praised)
GM's MyLink & Onstar are Blackberry developed

I guess you get what you pay for.

Sorry, no. They released maps NA 1.19. No word on 3.4. May never see it officially I'm afraid..
I did the map update a few weeks ago....it is a large update. I had to do it twice (via USB) as I had the car idling and it auto-shut down before the update completed. No issues afterwards and my newly build neighborhood shows on the maps. No more offloading in the Shelby!

You downloaded and installed 1.18. Now you have to do it again for 1.19. Fun, fun, fun!
