Upgrade to B&O

Currently, I have the 9 speaker sync 3 setup in my ecoboost, looking to upgrade. Would anyone know if the b&o setup is plug and play, or is there more to it.

Hmmm so I could be wrong but I thought B&O was a 12 speakers option included in the 401A package - at least that was how it was for my 12 speaker Shaker system included in my 2016. I would not think it would be plug and play… but I do think there are other aftermarket brands out there that would be plug and play for your 9 speaker setup that sound fantastic! Hopefully someone can recommend you a brand to try out.

All Ford factory audio is pretty bad. Rip and replace. There are several threads on the topic.

Do not waste your time trying to upgrade to B&O, it’s the same speakers you already have except the rears are coaxial and a cheap subwoofer.

Look for other threads. It is pretty simple if you are mechanically inclined.

You can keep your head unit and all the functionality and just change the amp and speakers.
