I just got a 21 gt premium with the b&o system. I want to swap out the sub and sub amp for a aftermarket unit. Can I get a signal for this somewhere in the truck?

You can swap out the sub and add an aftermarket amp to power it. Lots of write-ups

You pull the signal directly from the wires that plug into the current subwoofer.

Is there a amp on the back of the factory sub box? If so are there low level inputs going to that amp or do I just get signal from the high level ones going directly to the sub?

Mmm, lots of info here. Read, read, read:)

Bottom line, yes you can get a signal. I have not seen an effective way to disable the DSP for 20+ though, the Forscan code doesn't work for me.

I used the factory sub output for my factory amp input. It's OK, but I really need to disable the EQ in the DSP.

So there is a low level input going into a amp on the back of the box?

PAC Audioā€˜s AmpPro fd-21 allowed me to disable my factory EQ.

I used the high-level wires that went into the back of the sub, put them into a Audiocontrol LC2i, and then installed the Alpine 600rms amp. It sounds SO much better.

Pretty much my plan, just using a Rockford amp

If you want to do it right Iā€™d go with a PAC Amp Pro which pulls the signal before it gets to the ACM. Then run a Toslink or RCA to the rear to your amp.

No real need to, just to add a subwoofer. Now if upgrading other speakers and adding amps, then definitely go with the PAC Amp Pro.

Right can be different for different situations and needs.
