Well I may have an "ace" in the hole so to speak. Currently I have a priority code 02 which evidently my dealer has talked to his zone rep and they have changed my code 10 to that 02. I'm hoping this is the case and I believe my dealer is advocating for me. Whether or not this is enough to secure me a VIN scheduled on 10/16 or not I don't know. If it does I am going to happy and I have a lot of thank you's to hand out. If I'm still stuck waiting I may as well give up. I'm hoping Ford thinks long term here, I could be a lifelong Ford customer from this point on or I just go elsewhere. I hope they come through for me. This waiting game just for a VIN is the biggest turn off. :( I'm still clinging to hope as Rachel has been great and my dealer seems to be advocating for me. The ball is in Ford's Scheduling court, I hope they don't screw the pooch.
You can confirm your priority code if you view source code on COTUS and search for "ordersummary".

I have thanks. 89Trooper told me and I have seen it. Kudos to him. :) Also confirmed through FordService/Rachel bless her heart.

Right now I don't know if that counts for anything or not though. I could still be waiting weeks or months for all I know. :(

I don't see it either.... seriously and they know alot of people are already pissed.... i think they are going to get the early orders together (retail) and try to get them in the mix with the convertibles.... we already saw the production line pictures with the convertible in the middle..lol

BUT if the favor goes south on us... i am goint to be pretty upset.. i also don't know how much longer i can go for one i had set the preapproval for financing set but watching later placed rders than ours getting assigned and going into production.... extremely pissed off at that... more so on the regional orders that were place months n months after May... that part is absolutely wrong... and i don't care how much knob gobbling goes on with high profile dealers... its wrong... if I get shot down again... i will seriously continue on with my Audi and get a new one and end my ford relationship of 19 years... well ... a break from 2001 to 2006...lol but will seriously also look into Toyota, including the truck since my company is owned by Toyota. will be some nice incentives and the Tundras are built right here in Texas:headbang:
If I could find my exact combo on a lot or waiting to be shipped within the next 2 weeks I wouldn't even mind paying MSRP for it. I don't know if my dealer could make a trade of a vehicle for the exact vehicle allotment or not. The problem is even with thousands produced already I seriously doubt my exact combination is out there right now. Mine may be the only one that exists in that exact combination and may be a 1 of 1 for all I know for the 2015 model year. I guess I need to let my dealer know that or maybe even ask some of our dealership employee members here. Just a thought. I'd even think of one that was scheduled a VIN and build date and not even built yet to pay MSRP for. Just waiting to get a VIN in the Ford Mustang scheduling lottery sucks balls.

Well, I have a Prio 10 ordered on 5/20 that still isn't scheduled. I've been calling my dealer every couple weeks to ask status even though I check everyday myself just to keep them on it. Without telling me they called Rep and got him to put in a Prio 01 order in for me! I just found out and it was put in 9/12 and got scheduled 9/25. I stopped the other day and he said I have a VIN and was so confused because my original didn't. I can only assume that the Rep told them it wasn't going to get scheduled anytime soon as its a small dealer so did this for them. They never told me Rep put it in just that they couldn't find my order in system the one time I called so put another order in.

Anyways, Prio 01 works and I'm sure 02 will as well so you will get scheduled on 10/16. BTW my build week is 10/27. I'll be watching to see if my original 5/20 Prio 10 order gets scheduled then as well (unless they cancel it before then).

Glad you did. You got in before the magic date last Thursday 9/25. From that point on who knows what is going to happen. It didn't get me scheduled today (thought it might maybe) and with the confusion it could be as late as November before I get scheduled (if one is to believe RisingForce's information). I'm hoping I get a VIN 10/16 Ford is the only one who really knows and they aren't sharing. :( So I wait and make alternate plans.

Yeah, it does.... well, the only other color I would go for would be Magnetic... but even then, it is too dark for my taste and still does not look as good as silver.....I guess we will see...at least your priority got bumped up, they have not even touched mine wich is still 15... there are only 2 orders left at my dealership...I have high hopes.. if mine doesnt on the 16th, i am going to call back and make them up the priority... if not, they had better start getting some freebies set up when it does deliver but i am really thinking of dropping out and sticking with audi... with a 1000 dollar loyalty and a trade, i can seriously see myself getting into an S4 or an A5 even a 2015/6 TTS though those wont go into production till this spring...I will pay the premium to get treated right again from Audi... the other thought is also lexus... Damn me for saying it but a Toyota employee incentive is hard to pass and is quite better than just an Xplan

I sent Rachel(FordService) a PM today about some clarification. With all these questions she deserves a raise. I hope to hear back from her tomorrow. I just can't see FRAP just dropping everything for convertibles and ignoring fastback orders that will be backing up farther and farther with 2 weeks more delay. It would mean not scheduling VINS for fastbacks for a whole month(October). Makes no sense.
Your right, the "drop everything and build convertibles" thing makes no sense considering the number of us who have 10/19, 10/26 and 11/2 build weeks, and we are ALL fastbacks. Unless they are talking about late November build weeks. Even then, it makes little sense.

Everyone, hang in there! The big scheduling computer at Ford isn't using logic when scheduling Mustang production. My buddy ordered his 2015 6 weeks before me. His estimated build date is 1 week behind me! His is suppose to be in Job #1, and mine in Job #2. Go figure. I think they will be on the same train and truck when they finally get her in So Cal. If I had a crystal ball, I would guess most of you will have VINs on 10/16. From what I've read from Zombie, the wait is worth it!!

I agree. A friend of mine and I both EB Premiums on the same day 5/21 from the same dealership. Mine got built on 8/27, his a month later on 9/27, his is car is scheduled for delivery on 10/17, and mine doesn't have a delivery day scheduled at all.

Hopefully. Thank you for the sentiment. :)

The thing is it would be MONUMENTALLY EASY for Ford to program in Order Date as a parameter to schedule first in first out so very easily. But they don't and this is what is causing the tension with early retail orderers. :(

Going to share this part of a PM from our resident Saint Rachel (FordService) that she graciously sent me this morning.

"When an order schedules, that is when it receives a VIN. As you already know, scheduling will begin again on 10/16 for retail orders. Orders are scheduled based on the following criteria:

-the priority code rating
-the dealer's allocation for each production week
-the ordered option content (assembly plant discretion)
-the receipt date

The receipt date is a factor when breaking ties for orders with the same priority code. Therefore, the date is the last factor. While I can’t guarantee your order will be scheduled (and receive a VIN) on the 16th, there is definitely the possibility."

Much of this is known but I wanted to share. I think this confirms that indeed fastback retail orders will be continued to be scheduled on 10/16 for November NOT waiting until November to receive a VIN/build week.

Thank you Rachel. :)
