A couple weeks ago I wrote a post about my turbo housing having a leak at the turbo housing. I have an ATM Fmic and a sct tune and I was nervous bringing it my first time.

1. My appointment was Monday so Sunday morning I went back to stock tune.
2. I was at ford all of 30 min before they came back and told me I'm getting a brand new turbo!!!!
3. I have the front number honeycomb removed on bottom so you can clearly see the huge Fmic sitting up front
4. Great experience no issues, and looking forward to getting this baby working correctly again
5. I did have an MRT catted downpipe, I was nervous that would be an issue since it bolts directly on the turbo, so I did go back to stock before service appointment

I hope this eases the minds of some people looking to do work on their car but afraid of warranty, so I thought I would log my experience. I will update once I get my new turbo, it's in order now and I'm able to drive the car until it comes in. Oh and I'm assuming this issue may be common based on the fact that it took them 15 min to diagnose and order the turbo.

I am curious were it is leaking, oil ?

1)between center section and intake compressor housing ?
2)from inside intake compressor housing/impeller (front seal leaking).?

Did they perform a smoke test to diagnose?

No oil leak, exhaust leak actually, my performance shop did a smoke test and found it because I was reading a boost leak on data logs, plus tons of soot on from of the housing. I wonder if I'll get the 16 turbo? Or how that works, not that it makes a difference I guess. I'm at 16,000 so just cool to know I'm getting brand new turbo

Every dealer is different in how they approach warranty claims with mods. You go one town over and may have had a completely different experience. But good thing you know now so you can work with them in the future.

I realize every dealer is different but the more and more people report than the more and more we know what to expect is all I meant

No difference at all between the 15 and 16 but maybe some better quality control

Good to hear bro! I'm pretty sure you took off the Boomba adapter right? I thought everything was good when you took off the DPs.. what made you go back?

Btw, are you in Los Angeles? What dealer is this?

This is exactly it. Luckily, we have a good relationship with our local dealer and they take care of us. Lets say we had some rather extensive work done to one of our Shelby's (1000+ rwhp), broke the trans and they replaced it for us under warranty
