Ok @Danny_r67 make yourself a coffee/tea and have a read of this thread https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...-windscreen-condensation-again.113708/page-12

That page has some images of the main source of my problem - being the rubber grommet not quite sealing correctly. After a good few inches of snow fell and then melted, water made its way in through that hole and down into the footwell - as I understand it.

I'm sure there are other basic check to be done such as blocked drainage ways, but I couldn't tell you how to do that off the top of my head.

One question, given that we're in the colder months...do you suffer with bad condensation - as per some of my photos? That was the tell tale sign for me, and was what kicked of months of back & forth with Ford trying to get to the bottom of this.

For reference, the first time had this issue which was badly dealt with by a different Ford dealership is this thread. https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/the-never-ending-warranty-issue.101838/

Good luck & keep us posted :)
Cheers for that Kristian87, don’t really suffer from too bad condensation to be honest it’s more just pure wet floor when it has rained, praying it’s only a drain over flowing and I’m not needing to get the whole cabin re sealed as that looks
££££y, I’m gonny go and try clear out this drain under the battery tray and see where I am after that before heading to the dealer. That being said when I lifted up the carpet, the seal along the bottom of the floor/side wall isn’t the cleanest of jobs with lots of small gaps so it may well be that this is my problem too.

Sounds like yours isn't as extreme as mine for sure. Mine was a bit of a worst case scenario and if you're not getting really bad condensation then it's likely a minor issue.

Do you see water dripping down the door edge, where the hinge is? I remember that happening with mine - in addition to coming in through the firewall.

FWIW Ford's "water testing facility" - if it's anything like the dealership that I went to is essentially an outside hose with a bit of a shower attachment. To chase my issue, the interior was stripped (as the wiring loom had to come out) and then the hose was left over the area for a long time, sure enough they could see water dripping in through the firewall.

Not suggesting you strip your interior! But if you can peel back some of the carpet and find a way to hold a hose over that area, you may see where the water is coming in.

Well hopefully I’ve found the culprit here, had looked a few days ago but obviously not well enough, Turns out I do indeed have these daft stickers and they are just weltering away. So I’ll get these holes sealed up and keep an eye on the situation.

thanks to everyone for replying!! šŸ™šŸ¼

Good find :like:

I don't think they have failed, it looks like one of those was never stuck on correctly in the first place ... :frown:

I didn't mean that as in they were still good and not leaking.

I meant that they hadn't failed with age / use.

It looks like it was a failure to apply one of those properly in the first place i.e. its leaked from new :like:

I’ll get some gromits in them and seal it up with silicone and see where we are after that
