It's always an adventure when you wash the car where you will find the next one.
That's why I don't wash my car often and when I do, I do a shity job. 👍🏻☺😃

But it always sucks with shit like that messing up the paint. Especially driving a lot can't avoid them.

Sure, how about $5k?
I thought about you and that transmission the day I purchased the car. I thought "Shoulda kept it!"

Of course, it would've been taking up valuable garage space for 5+ years.

Anyway, you haven't heard of the unwritten Mustang law that if you haven't used the transmission within 5 years you have to sell it back to the original purchaser for what you paid for it

Do you actually still have it?

And more importantly.....

Who's gonna fly it back?

Yes I do, but who's going to fly it home all the way across the country in a big ol jet airliner

I'll roll with the MT82 'til it gives me issues.
Yea, the two 350Rs I have are keepers. I bought that trans knowing very well it was going into long term storage.

You never know when you need another.

You know, I never even opened the box. Are you sure there isn't just bricks in there?

So if I'm reading your Vehicles description correctly, you currently have 3 Mustangs?

OP,

Sorry for the hijack. A good paint shop will get you going again. I know others have said it, but PPF really does wonders to keep this kind of stuff from happening.

All the best.

Well how many of you live off a gravel road like me? My poor car takes a beating.

The paint on these S550's sucks, it is too fragile... if it's looked at sideways it chips...

My 94 Cobra w/original paint has less chips on it in 27 years of highway driving than my 2018...
Is the paint process any different on the $100k GT500 than it is on the $27k Ecoboost? I know that hand painted stripes are a $10k option, but my understanding is that all Mustangs start life pretty much the same.

Agreed,I have never seen such fragile paint. The only paint worse than Ford is Tesla. Drove my 2013 BMW M3 for almost 8 years with only 1 chip. I have my Mustang for 1.5 years and have a plethora of them.

Yep, all the same. But the rapid red, aka, lucid red, is a 3 layer process. It is not an easy color to match. The whole fender will probably have to get repainted.
