Anyone else having an issue finding oil filter
FL-2087?

looking to do my oil change before putting the car away for the winter and I can’t find it anywhere.

plus, the prices I’ve seen seem kind of high to me compared to last year.

Yup there is a shortage nationwide. I managed to get one in a kit from Kmanparts which included 10 qt of Motorcraft 5W50 which I needed anyway. You can probably find one at a dealership if you call around but you will pay $$$$

You can go the Mobil 1 filter route. Very high quality and usually in stock.

That’s how I got mine last year. It was part of an oil change kit, came with the 10 quarts of motorcraft. I think I got it from LMR.
you don’t have a link for where you purchased do ya?

this year, the same kit at LMR only shows its compatible for the 17-18 model years. It comes with a. Different part number for the oil filter……that’s why I’m not getting it there.
I’ll swing by the dealership and see what they want for one of them.

Why not use the 820? Is larger than stock with more filter area, and easy to find. I use the Ford Racing version, and order from CJ Pony Parts.

The FL 820 is a spin on filter, and is incorrect for the later 350s that use cartridge style filters.

Ah, I thought we were talking about S550 Mustangs.

Here is the link but sadly out of stock. I may have bought one of the last kits a few weeks ago

As far as 17-18 compatibility vs 19+, as long as your car has the cartridge style filter then there are no compatibility issues. FL-2087 is the new design filter and FL-2062 is what was used prior.

However by all accounts FL-2087 is the better and more sturdy filter, which is why it has superseded the FL-2062 for the GT350 application.

Have been using this one since it came out. Works great in my GT500 as well.
i dunno if id uses a non metal lined one on a 500. The oil pump is larger volume.
