Curious how many folks with GT350/GT350Rs are doing track days with superchargers and/or turbo kits

How's the car holding up with the extra heat being generated? Oil temps? Coolant temps?

How's the clutch/trans holding up?

What kit do you have?

X2 , I’d be interested in feedback with that as well.

Following. I just ordered a gen 5 whipple with the extra cooling fans along with a spec ss trim clutch in hopes of fighting heat soak and blowing the stock clutch. I think a 3 row radiator might be next to help maintain temps.

And add to that, any reduction in handling with the strut tower brace removed?

There's a few that keep it but not everyone goes that route for some reason.

I wish someone would make a carbon fiber version with equal stiffness but slightly more clearance and lighter weight.

Gen v whipple barely clears the hood, I was looking at an install on a coyote today. I’d really like to see how it was done. Only thing that makes sense would be a cowl hood.

I should clarify I've seen it with the 4 gen whipples.

This guy used bmr motor mounts and shimmed the brace to make enough space. The Steeda mounts drop the engine 3/4 in. I'm thinking between the Steeda mounts and some shims it should be doable. I'll figure it out soon!

You REALLY need to manage that heat. You need additional venting in the hood, a new thermostat, and a higher capacity radiator bare minimum.

I also highly recommend NOT changing out your motor mounts. The motor mounts, flywheel, and dampener were all designed specifically to handle the secondary vibrations of the FPC. High risk of rattling shit apart with out them.

That said, I agree with @nastang87xx on the recommended changes. I've tracked with a few high HP cars running blowers. They do okay for 15 mins or so. Might also be a good idea to run an electric pump and wire your fans to keep circulating water in the pits after a session to cool it down.

My car is the one listed in the post above. I was able to keep the strut tower brace and have no issues.
I do not have the 5.2L of course but my car has more track than highway miles. I am running Evans Waterless coolant in my engine with PP radiator and 175 thermostat.
I ran water and water wetter in the Whipple intercooler circuit. The air inlet temps would approach 140-145 on long sessions. I did my own running and I do not run the blower at 10/10ths more like 6/10ths for the track and I dial back timing as things heat up. As a last resort I cut throttle position for positive boost pressures when temps are real high. It feels weird but keeps the engine together. I have since upgraded to the biggest Whipple heat exchanger, an EMP circulation pump, and Watson intercooler tank. I also built my own diff cooler, though as I get used to my mustang the diff temps are staying in check. My oil temps get high after 30 minutes, but as of right now I just change the oil before and after each event. May add a cooler. The transmission makes noises when it is hot. I will run it until it dies and then look at a Tremec upgrade.

DO IT!!!! If you spend most of your time on the street, the blower will increase your smiles per gallon and heat will never be an issue.
