Tow Hooks - GT500 Have Them

Mine just arrived, Chris, but haven't had a chance to fool around with the installation yet.

Now that the plate issue is taken care of I can work on getting my NY Veterans Plate ordered. And then Pray for an early spring. Where did the other site go? 2020 GT500 License Plate Bracket (Grimm Speed) I kept trying to find it on Sat. but it seems as if it was pulled.

I'm with you on the tickets, I drive thru two different counties on my way to & home from work each day so I have to have a front plate the Grimm set-up works & looks the best.

Thanks, Earl, Chairman and Chris. Did either of you try to match drill the cover (or buy a sacrificial cover) to clean up the void?

Edit: My personal plates are stuck in Covid hell but looking forward to sporting "CSSR500" my initials match Carol Shelby.

I drilled a hole in the plate so I can insert a small allen wrench to get it off easy. I generally leave the plate on. Then take it off and install the tow hook before I head to the track,
I do have a spare hole cover, but haven’t done anything with it. I think Tob drilled a hole in one so it’s just the right size for either shaft to go through.

BTW: I conversed with GrimmSpeed and told them to list that PN as fitting GT500s. They asked to use my pictures for their website. But it appears they haven’t added it yet. Oh well. It’s their business to lose.

I haven't decided what to use, I figured that I would ask and see what a good match would be, I will look into to Krylon Fusion unless someone has a better idea.

I decided that we will paint the tow hook a matching lime green (I know, not SCCA approved) and gloss black Fusion paint the drilled small plastic cover to make less noticeable.
Earl, I will post or PM you if the Krylon does not look good so you can plan otherwise. ie. no news is good news.

I put a call into zl1addons to inquire if they plan to make a GT500 titanium tow hook..... I got a response and it was....

Hey Tom,

Unfortunately the 2020 GT500 has a different tow hook threading, We only have the Premium setups currently and have not moved to make a Titanium offering at this time.
