I bought the spring a couple weeks ago and planned to install it last weekend. I was at my wit's end this past thursday. It was the worst day I'd had yet with regard to the jerking and general annoyance factor. Like magic, on Friday it was awesome for the most part, and every day since. I don't feel like I'm driving it any differently or if it's breaking in a bit (i'm at one month and almost 2k miles), but it's been no big deal since that day. Still not sure if I want to put the steeda spring in there or just leave it alone. I wanted to teach my wife to drive it though, so it might be best to go ahead and swap it in.
After removing spring, I could never go back.

I put the Steeda spring in if anything it's piece of mind for about $20.
X2. I pulled mine out a long time ago and recently bought the Steeda for shits and giggles. Put it in and could not tell it was there. Better safe than sorry if there is a slight chance it could cause leaking issues.

I read that too. When I googled that issue, I heard it was just marketing ploy with little truth to it. I don't know how much I believe that because the 2005-2009's didn't have that spring and their master cylinders were fine. Also, doesn't the pressure plate cause the clutch pedal come back up anyways?? There are some guys who have over 100k miles on it without that spring and fine cylinders. Would love to hear people's thoughts on it though.
I'm curious if Steeda is going to reply here?:D

Steeda clutch spring going in this weekend. Even though I semi have the stock clutch down. Still like better feel of the engagement point.

My clutch returns 100% to top without the stock spring. No steeda spring needed.
Same here, I have had no assist spring for 25k miles now and the pedal has never failed to return all the way.

I call BS on Steeda's claim.

Steeda Spring- Awesome

For $10.00, it is worth it.

I had the Steeda spring on my EB and loved it. After I signed the paperwork on the GT, I got on Steeda's site and ordered the spring for the GT. I hated the clutch for those few days waiting for delivery.

Hey, how do you like the Corsa Extremes? I am trying to decide on an exhaust. Is it super loud?

I broke my top piece. If anyone who completely removed the spring wants to part with the plastic I'll gladly pay you a reasonable price.

Tip..make sure your vice grips are really solidly gripping. If you move that spring at all and the pliers come off you're screwed.
