Did my friends 3v and it’s was 100x easier. The challenge of this car is getting the bolts off the headers. In my friends 3v you could see all the bolts.

My friends car was in our highschool shop for 2 days, my 2015 gt was in for over a week. We are not very experienced and figuring out how to get all the bolts off and on the headers of the 2015 was a huge pain.
Great way to learn. I spent 100s of hours in my teens busting knuckles and doing stuff over a few times. Glad to see younger ones are still interested!

Just wondering. With all the cost, fitment, cross threading, and PITA install, Are they really worth it in the first place?

Oh yeah, they’re worth it! It takes getting the right set/brand of LTHs to get past any fitment issues, which of course won’t help with the price. A thread chaser will prevent cross threading.

What size thread chaser and what size is the inverted Torx or whatever on the stud?

You can find kits on Amazon thst have the coarse and fine thread metric chasers. I bought mine back in 2012. Here is a pic of what it looks like. I don’t remember the size of the socket required for stud removal, but I am going to take a guess and say 1/4” drive 4mm, 7mm or 1/4” (even though the studs are metric). There wasn’t a lot of effort required to remove the studs either.
