You said slow down when I get my Mustang.

I was being facetious in that I didn't know what you meant by "Slow Down".

Who buys a GT PP and slows down?

But anyway, back on topic. ;)
LoL ... I said you could slow down your shifting because you'll have lots of HP to make up for show shifts. Slower shifts = less chance of blowing up the MT82. Racing and destroying equipment doesn't make sense anymore to me. :D

I've told my wife over and over in hopes she doesn't miss a gear:
1-2 push left
3-4 let it center
5-6 push it right

Start slow and get used to it before trying to go fast. I also ease in 2nd at low speeds. The trans seems to like that better.

Some people claim your foot should slide off the clutch after you depress it so it just comes back up on its own instead of you allowing it to come back up with your leg.

It's not easy to do and I don't care enough about shaving hundredths of a second to try it

Nineball is one of the best shifters I've ever seen. Fast and smooth and timing is on point. He is a member on corvetteforums (that's where I first ran into his posts) and I'm pretty he's on all the viper forums.

If you can shift anywhere close to this, you'll be golden.
...but but but, w/ certain gearing you'll have to make another shift before the end of the quarter...

I tried to show my know-it-all wife this little trick and I got the "0 to bitch in 1.3 seconds" followed up with "I know how to drive a damned manual! Shut Up!" as she shifted from 2nd to 5th. :D
"So if you know how to drive a manual, why are you in 5th gear in the neighborhood?"

No sex since then.......

But hey, at 52 years of age, I'm getting more excitement just driving my Mustang!

Hahaha, teaching your wife/gf to drive a Manual is definitely a relationship challenging moment lol
