OK, you don't understand lambda.

Lol. I’m not going to even try to explain it to you. How’s your understanding of stoichiometric ratios?

That's... going to be hard to read LOL
Found the problem. The tune was trying to maintain a 14.7 stoich @ WOT. While great for economy, not so much for power haha.

"There is plenty of head room in the fuel trims to throw 1/3 tank of e85 in to bump the octane. Or boostane."

So it is safe to use 5 gallons of E85 with the rest being 93 E10?

I've experimented with 3 gallons of 85 with no issues, commanded lambda = measured, and was totally blasted on this forum for trying.
Yea happens every time a flex tune is first loaded for non belivers. The larger the jump in ethanol the more severe the intital trim adjustment and can miss the mark due to lack of time in the learning region. At that point its all fuel trims covering the gap. Have ran around with -35% due to bad injector data. Never knew it except for the logs.

Lambda is lambda. Gas/ethanol scaling is preference of the end user. This ecu is based entirely on lambda. O2 sensors report air detected and ecu adds fuel to compensate. It doesn't care about the fuel makeup in the tank.

Yes it matters,
Well sorry to disappoint you but I don't flame/bash/trash anyone on what could be a simple oversight. He's looking at it, and I'm sure will correct it.

I respect not giving out the name of the tuner, especially if they’re working with you to get it corrected. My advice though, would be to be careful running it too hard if it’s that lean. You’re not boosted so in this situation that’s a good thing. I don’t know if any boosted car running at 14.7 stoichiometric at WOT would survive even a full solid pull. Just sounds like the tuner loaded the wrong target lambda. Should be an easy adjustment unless something else is a miss.

Time to get that Gimli Glider going! Remember, lean is mean until it goes pop!

A simple oversight maybe, but if so that's a bad one to make. Failing to load the correct target WOT lambda could be potentially catastrophic. I think this is what Brian is trying to say. That's running dangerously lean. No way of knowing if the engine could blow up.

Just finished checking the plugs for signs of overheating / pre ignition etc (lil old school stuff comes in handy) they are all fine.
