Couple of quick questions while I'm sitting here at this event I was dragged to. lol
Is this timing bounce normal and will the Ngauge let me view fuel trims per bank or detect a weak injector or cam phaser? Why would 1 tail pipe have more soot than the other ?
1) I notice my spark adv is jumping from 23.5 - 26 at idle. Is this normal on a coyote?
2) Bear with me here: I noticed recently at idle and at low revs my car sounds...different. Almost like a lope you would hear from a cammed
pushrod engine. (6th gear at 55mph i can hear this)The sound is mild and my wife doesn't hear a difference but I also noticed the idle is just a tad off and will skip a beat every 10-30 seconds at idle. Once the engine is above idle it runs very smooth except for the 3k rpm "burp" that has always been there when accelerating.
My passenger side tail pipe definitely has considerably more soot than the driver side. More condensation at idle on that side as well based on my finger swipe. No lost oil that I've noticed.
I put my scan tool on the car and no codes or misfires were detected. Cats are at same temp (about 880 degrees), and no red flags popped up.
Something just sounds a tad...off and I'm curious how the passenger side tail pipe could have significantly more soot than the driver side.
