I have a 2015 Mustang Gt with a ticking noise that seems to be coming from the bottom of the motor. I recently did an oil change and used motorcraft oil with filter.
The car only has 5000 original miles on it. i attached a video. My oil pressure is fine, this only seems to be noticeable at idle. Any thoughts? I heard of the BBQ tick noise that would appear to be normal, but I just wanted to be sure.

Check for exhaust leaks at the pipe junctions from front to back... if you see black soot on the exterior of the pipes near those junctions, that's your source of the sound...

It's fine. Sounds perfectly normal.

Thirding ceratec—get a bottle of it and pour some in. Stuff's magic.

I did a full treatment 2 oil changes ago with 2 bottles (300ml is good for 5L of oil, Gen3 coyotes use like 9.4L when converted—at 8qt/7.5L, yours should need a bottle and a half for a "full" treatment.) and haven't heard the tick since.

You can add some, like a third of a bottle like Mike suggested every oil change if you want the extra peace of mind.

Sounds fine. If you get a "typewriter" sounding tick under low load (1k-2k RPM, drive near a wall or curb windows down) then that is when to consider oil additive or up the oil weight

I've only been able to reduce/eliminate tick with Ceratec to the specified treatment per quart on th eback of the bottle. MOS2 has not had any effect on reducing tick. Both Liqui Moly products. Many are advising to change to 5w30

Wander down to Autozone and buy some Ceretec Liquid Moly, add it, and move on with your life.

Stop fretting about every little thing, your life will be much better.

The more negative thoughts, vibes, worries you have, the more of that negative BS you manifest into reality.

Also a good point on oil weight, and though I hate to get that pot a-stirring—what weight did you put in, @jjdelicious ? I assume 5-30 since it's a '15, but just to be sure.

I used Ford Motorcraft 5w20
So you did everything right and just need to verify if you actually have a tick. Then, you decide if you want to live with it or dump ceratec in. Ford has no fix for this and says its a characteristic of the 5.0
