They are gimmicky devices that sucker non car people into thinking there is some sort of actual performance benefit. There is none, they make the throttle “feel“ more responsive, but that can be done in a tune where you can get actual performance and mileage gains. You won’t ever see one of those devices on a legitimately fast or well tuned car.

Pedal devices are only gimmicks.
Also I'm not sure what is wrong with some of y'all's cars or pedals but mine is incredibly snappy. Zero input lag. Zero lag altogether. I also don't know how some of yall drive around in "sport mode". The aggressive pedal is quite annoying to me. Mine is set up in a linear fashion and even sometimes it catches me off guard pulling onto a busy road. Even when the car was stock I never had any "lag".
I remember in 2020 reading a lot of people saying the electronic TB had lag and this and that. Still not sure what they were talking about. I couldn't tell the difference between it being electronic or a cable driven TB. Don't believe everything you read on the Internet OP

You can chance the relation directly between the pedal and the throttle body with a proper tune.

Any device you put in between the pedal and the ecu will still be limited by the stock ecu characteristics. These pedalmax commanders aren't altering the ecu, they're just altering the signal sent to the ecu. That signal is only 0-100% throttle so you can replicate anything these units do by just pressing the pedal itself more or less. At the end of the day the drive mode and stock throttle body opening metrics are still in place.

If you truly want to change the throttle mapping you have to use an actual tune do alter the values within the ecu.

I picked up the soler throttle thing. Because I hated the throttle feel of the stock maps. Never used it. Bought it. Bought supercharger a week later and my tune made the drivability of the car way better

I wouldn't say they are gimmicks, they just don't make any extra power. They do exactly what they say on the box, change the feel of the throttle.

For someone not looking to void their engine warranty, who doesn't care about making a ton of horsepower throttle enhancers will change the driving feel at low speeds and improve the overall "feel" of the car.

A guy I work feels it also doubles as a security device because he can disable the throttle with his. I dont use one, I make throttle changes in my tune.

Good point. I never look at it in that point of view considering I voided my warranty in the first 3 months I owned the car. I guess there's a market out there for them for a reason. Some people will find use with them

I have a Soler TC paired with my factory Bullitt TB which they ported to 91MM.

The TC works as advertised, in that it makes the throttle more or less sensitive depending on what you prefer. It even has a valet mode to keep the Ferris Bueller type from doing this (if you’re one to valet park).

I had a discussion with some guys at work about Pedalmax, Sprint Booster Throttle Enhancer, etc. They say I should get one for my mustang. So quick question... I have the Roush supercharger and tune. Wouldn’t the Roush tune already accommodate for throttle response ?
Thanks in advance.

I have one on each of my cars including the mustang. I know what they are and what they do and they do do what they say they do. 😃

BMAGOO I have one the soler TB controllers. If you’re looking at getting one cheaper than retail. Hit me up. I would assume roush would have to stay within Ford parameters for throttle.

I would hope after 6 1/2 years of asking he would have purchased one by now...
