I think the sun is what does it, not necessarily the heat. My truck is always in the shade, and I know it helped keep exterior plastics new looking. But Texas heat and sun is no joke! Then again, I am in Scottsdale today, and I think I'd rather have the Houston heat.mine only made it 3 years unfortunately. I thought the Texas heat would get to it which is why I always tried to keep it conditioned.
That bad huh? I’ve heard it’s more of a dry heat compared to the humidity here. The cluster read 115° at one point, it’s ridiculous. Thats where I got mine, I told them I only needed the lid, they sent me the whole center console for $80 lol.Look on eBay for a replacement
