I like to disassemble things.
In that case, I'd go with drilling, tapping, and using set screws. Not in the original holes mind you but rather in discreet locations where you can't see. You could remove the factory bolts but the wing still wouldn't be going anywhere.

Zero f***s given to any yapping about concours panties being wadded in the year 2070 because of it...

In order to tig you have to have an uber clean base material. I tig, so...

You'd have to mark where you want to weld, remove the wing, remove the powder coating off the base upright as well as on the wing bracket, tig, then coat it with something. Much more of a pain but yup, it wouldn't be going anywhere.

Then again, just use a cordless sawzall to cut through the uprights and a CFTP wing can be had in 30 seconds. Buy new base uprights and SHAZAM!!!! Major savings on a pretty CFTP for your V6 Mustang.

Oh the horrors imagining that happening

It seems as you thought that one through. Going to carry around a sawzall?

Mark words. You'll see photos of a CFTP car with the wing gone and uprights cut in half. Coming to a Facebook near you...
