My Boss has free oil changes for life from the dealer. It has 5000 miles on it with 6 track days. I thin I have had the oil changed 6 times already!
One of the reasons I have the ability to buy such luxury items is by never paying more than I need to for non-luxury items. Why pay more if you don't have to? It all adds up. That's $20 saved per oil change. If you're tracking you'll be doing a lot of them. Will you pay retail for the filter then? That's another $20 over the internet price. How about brake pads? The markup on them is $82 front and $50 rear. You will be replacing fronts after 3 high speed track days. Rear last for 6. By my math if you do 1 track weekend a month, that's 24 days per year. 8 sets of front brakes 8*82, 4 sets of rear brakes 4*50, 5 oil changes 5*40...You save $1056 per year, just on oil changes and brakes, by not paying retail!! I didn't even factor in rotors, brake fluid, air filter, or anything else you will definitely need! Maybe you are scrooge mcduck and heat your house with wads of cash ignited in your fireplace, but some of us worked hard for that money!

Force of habit I guess. I wasn't born with money, I made my own and have to work too hard for it to blow it. Like the others have said, when you track your car things tend to add up.
