Is that the hold the toggle switch and count to ten thing?
Yes, and you’ll get a visual confirmation when it’s fully deactivated.

Will switching it off also lead to less understeer?
I don’t think so. Depends on the cause of the understeer, I guess. There have been occasions when I over slowed for a corner, turned in and got too heavy on the throttle(since I was not at the limit) which caused the car to shove the nose. That’s just driver-induced understeer.

What it will do is make the throttle response seem more lively from the apex to the track out. Enough that you’ll want to be judicious 😎. Just makes the car feel a little more eager.

Interesting. I know that when I used to run in Sport+ mode (perhaps for the first session), I had more rear brake heating and more understeer.

I only use track mode now, but have never fully switched off TC on track.
I like the throttle response now, and I am smooth on throttle to track out. But I am curious to try TC off, as well as if it makes my car just a touch more neutral.

Sounds good. IMO disabling it completely is much better for truly fast laps. Just be prepared for the possibility that the driver aids are helping more than you realize even in Track Mode.

Sneak up on it. Your car control skills may be tested.

This serves to remind us that there is no single, perfect answer for all drivers, cars, tracks or even days. This “rule” applies to everything from tires and brake pads to springs and shocks to lines and braking points.

Yeah, I get your laziness, lol.

Cycle through the Mode toggle until Track mode is displayed. That is most of traction control reduced. Panic electronic stability control is still active to some degree. Of course you can still spin your car. Ask me how I know.

For TC fully off, you hold the Trac Control button for at least 10 seconds and the display will indicate such. I have yet to try that on a track day.
