Nope, 18 and newer.
Technically 18MY and some 19 aren't affected. They shoved the connectivity stuff in there starting in 2019 in a half assed way, then cleaned it up for 2021. Like it's hilarious, on my car the modem is piggybacked off the obd port and just zip tied in the footwell.

On my 2017 they offered to sell me that jenky little slap in thing, didn't realize it took them that long to integrate it from factory.

My 2018 (built 5/3/2018) has the modem, but the telematics fuse is #10 (which btw has been pulled since day 1).

Interesting, I know it doesn't support fordpass so I'm curious as to what it's reporting compared to later cars. Is your car a higher option level?
Nope, 301A. It is a PP2, so they may have just been picking up parts and throwing them on there. 🤣 It used to be called SYNC Connect before it was called FordPass Connect.

+1 for the Airtag mention. I use 2 of them in my car with the speakers removed. Just added security

We parked up a side street. I should have memorized its name, or perhaps even looked back at first when headed downtown on the main street.
The free suggestion is to drop a pin in your maps or take a screenshot of your maps when you park if you're gonna be away from it for a while/somewhere unfamiliar.

OK, it's now removed!
I'm annoyed I didn't remove it earlier.
My MY18 RHD car (build date April 2018) had a fuse in #10, which is now removed.
It's a PITA to get to as they haven't moved the fusebox when they made it RHD, so it's right next to the go pedal.....

Edit: Tried finding the TCU and all I found in the left hand side rear (ie drivers side for most people) is an antenna amplifier (GR3T-18C847-BA) and a Headlight control unit (JR3B-13C148-AB).
Does anyone have an idea where the TCU is located in RHD cars?
