The crazy thing is the fuse numbering and use varies in the different model years. Get a cheap circuit tester off of Amazon or local and test for ignition only power.

I can't imagine doing this without a meter. WTF?
well, i just plugged it in to a few diff slots to see if there was power full time or accessory only lol

That works too I suppose. I just use my multi-meter all the time and would have to go buy one if it disappeared!

I got hit with 220V once. From hand to hand. I could actually feel the AC cycles. Wild.

Blew up a potato in an electric oven. Figured it would be better to just remove the one screw holding the bottom element (a big square loop of metal) to the back of the oven. I had planned to see what kind of connecter it had (if any) before I dragged it out and unplugged it. Figured I wouldn't bother if it was soldered in or whatever.

*WHAP-BOOM*

In a flash I was on my ass on the other side of the kitchen. I was holding the big loop of heating element with both hands and it actually popped out of the sheet metal and somehow made contact. My memory is a little fuzzy right toward the end.

Here's my 2020 GT.

It looks like one tap in in slot 3 and the other in slot 35. If I recall correctly slot 3 the 12v constant and is responsible for power seats and slot 35 is 12v ACC that was empty on my car. Be sure to a 2021 fuse diagram (should be in your owner's manual) and a multi-meter to verify your setup is the same as mine.

My ground is behind that trim panel that is on the right side of the picture.
Haven’t had any issues? I know the post was years but just curious , I was gonna try 3 & 31. I have it wired same fuses as you momentarily but my issue is my dashcam restarts so rarely. I’ve just been lazy to pin point why the heck it restarts. But I’ll have to see. Sorry for the long story.

This is so much easier and cleaner to do than trying to run wires all around your trim and then hardwiring it into the panel. This just uses a 2" wire that's plug and play and can be removed in all of 3 seconds when selling the car.

I use an Audi specific one in my daily, but only for the radar detector. I don't think tapping into the rear view mirror power allows for the dash cam to record in the parking mode, as there will not be a constant power, I would think.
