Boom is subjective HaHa , thought we identified detonation wasn’t the root cause and the piston hot side reached its melting point.
It didn’t end in a spectacular T/F type blower explosion…. Lucky for you !

I thought we were pretty certain it was detonation. I thought the theory was the car was running with high fuel trims, pcm probably didn't correct for a second and car went really lean causing the cylinder to detonate around the exhaust valve and melting the piston.

But yes no big boom. Just a noise, probably some smoke, and a check engine light.

Even when I spun my bearing really bad there was no big boom.

I think 3rd time is the charm

This is my plan I got pcmtec also, just recently going to figure out all the correlations between hpt and pcmtec and have been doing a lot of digging on the hpt forums cause there is just a lot more information there to compile. Then do a lot of logging and small changes it helps that my car is very similar to a few of the members here that are using pcmtec also that my car was already tuned I can use that for a base file and always revert back to it. Along this journey I hope to learn a lot and be in control of the tuning of my car and with time give back to the community here and on the pcmtec forums. I did find out that their is a tuner in Kansas city that full tunes with pcmtec and I have a feeling more will eventually, mkcperformance.com

I have already been taught my first lesson, not about tuning though.

USPS sucks!

It arrived at the distribution center yesterday and said a delivery of 9pm today which I already knew was bs. 9pm comes around still no package and now it doesn’t even have a delivery date, still says it’s at the distribution center.

I was hoping to get the cable today so I could spend tomorrow tuning but who knows how long it will take them to deliver it especially if they lost it

It’s the weekend and a government run agency.
USPS is chillin and BBQ’ing.
USPS isn’t FedEx where profits and shareholders matter.
Hell I even think USPS computer systems get the weekend off…. LOL

Imagine a time when tracking a package could only be done with a corded wall phone and a real human on the other end.

Looks like USPS lost my package so will have to wait a bit longer.

That’s what I am hoping. I contacted one pro so that they can send me another one. They responded saying they think it’s still heading my way (it’s not) so hopefully after they contact usps they will send out another one.

So far usps has been disappointing, something on their website is broken every time I use it, and the limited information they have about my package is concerning

Good news. Looks like after I submitted the lost request they found the package and it should be here today. Don’t know why usps doesn’t have an automated system telling them to look for a package and I have to wait several days to get the process started. Either way should be here when I get home from work so
I can start tuning today

It was never lost. The USPS system took Monday off….. LOL
Amazons delivery speed and tracking has spoiled all of us.
