The check for updates button did not work on mine. I had to get the updated version from PCMtec's website.Mine shows the OS provider. Maybe try updating or reinstalling
KTGV264 is the unmolested stock read from my truck. I'm guessing the others are also Gen3 F150 Roush but don't know if they are stock files.![]()
I see multiple KTGV2 fyi
I might use the hptuners logger too as I have lots of experience using it but we will see.following your thread, I'm also learning but have a more stock car than you. I find that PCMtech isn't as intuitive as HPT but after enough time it isn't an issue at all.
I will say that I don't like their logger, I still can't figure out how to show fuel trim percentage, the graphing ability isn't as good and the logs are just more of a pain in general. The software is buggy and cashes a lot, I use HPT for logging still.
Do you plan to do flex fuel?
In my experience that does work, though I've always done "read entire" and "write entire". I'm not sure how it does on the fast read/writeI might use the hptuners logger too as I have lots of experience using it but we will see.
And I won’t be doing flex fuel but I will be doing e85/e98. I’ll probably end up making a tune for 91oct, e85, e54, and e98 as they are the common percentages around my area. Might even do a 100octane tune as there is a pump close to me
I am hoping I can use my hptuners RTD device or ngauge to save the tune like it’s a stock tune and have the ability to flash it on the go without a laptop
ole well it took a couple times but ya just got the one they recommendWell I couldn’t get mine to work haha. You can get another type that is like $30 but pcm tec doesn’t recommend them
You could do all this in one tune with the PCMTEC Custom OS with no flashing needed. Flex fuel can take care of the ethanol content changes and then you can have a separate multi-tune slot for 100 octane. Or you could just have a tune slot for each fuel type. Either way, no flashing needed. And I won’t be doing flex fuel but I will be doing e85/e98. Only thing needed is more money to buy the custom os version hahaYou could do all this in one tune with the PCMTEC Custom OS with no flashing needed.
