SYNC 3 swap, It's all in here

Straight bolt in - no mods needed, except FORSCAN changes. I put a Sync 3 update in my '17 V6 car. When I sold it to buy my '19 GT Base I have now, I removed it and swapped it into my '19. Bolts right in. SUPER easy. No need to swap USB cables or hub. I have a non functional CD slot (as well as non functional heated seat buttons) but I do have all the drive modes now.

I'm in the same situation except the Sync 3 swap I just removed from my V6 is going into someone else's 19 base. Did you have to reprogram the APIM and FCIM? If so, where do you get the codes? Or do you just save the stock settings on the 19 before the install and rewrite them afterwards?

Hey guys so i did the swap yesterday and everything works great i just need to enable satellite radio through forscan. The only issue I'm having is today my battery light came on and when I'm looking at the middle screen on my cluster and the south and north compass keeps changing direction. when i have my apple car play the gps works fine no issues, Has anyone had any of these issues? Thanks really appreciate any feedback.

Do you have a stick or auto?

I had a donor auto Sync3 retrofit into my stick car. Had to change to:

APIM: 7D0-01-02 xx9x xxxx xxxx

This stopped the cluster N-S alternating

The code above is for a stick. I did not recall what it was programmed for an auto. As odd as it is, the code does make a difference between stick and auto for the cluster compass.

Actually, I don't know.
I bought a 8" Sync kit, installed it, and everything was fine except the cluster compass. So I called the vendor and asked them. They said, "Sorry, we forgot to to program it for a manual. Change it to 7D0-01-02 xx9x xxxx xxxx."

So I did, and it worked.

Well like I said, my forscan settings have been confirmed to be correct...but I'll watch it just to see.

Finally got time today re entered the forscan and now toggle mode and hazard Work great but I lost xm don’t ask how

So I got everything up and running. Is there a way to get more volume? I was looking and some fords can change a range for the volume in the ACM. Is there anything like that for us?
