Have been reading your post for years and everyone have always been very helpful. I have a 2020 mustang gt with 4" screen and no navigation. I want to install a 8" with navigation and everything I have read on here says as long as it is a 2019 or newer it's plug and play with no extra wires to install. I am looking to get one from midway mustang they have one from a 2021 and 2020. I asked if it was factory navigation and they said all touch screens are but don't know if that is true. I also asked if they had the navigation antenna and was told they don't. I am guessing I would need to buy that also. I know that after a certain year ford started charging for navigation but unsure what year that was and don't want to get a radio from one of them years that I would need to pay. Any help would be greatly appreciated you guys have always be helpful. By the way I am 66 years old and still have a need for speed.

Unfortunately I don't have that kind of money and want the factory navigation but thanks for the info
That is a factory setup and that's what it costs. Of course it's cheaper from a junkyard...

It is the most complete kit, he charges the least overhead of any of the kits out there and will help you out with performing the programming in Forscan.

The other poster is correct in their statement of, "that's what it costs."

A better idea, work on the speed and use an iPhone to navigate a better option. And having both I use the phone & find it handier, sits in a the cup holder, and I don't have a stupid phone stick on/in the dash holder.
Also, consider the phone nav app will be updated more frequently.

I use the built-in Sync 3 Android Auto with my Galaxy S21 and it works great. I would have no interest in the factory nav system.

I just don't want to use my phone if I am driving on the highway and all of a sudden the road is blocked and I need to find a different route. I won't touch my phone while driving and too old to find new ways to use my phone but thank you

Totally understand why you would want factory Nav. I have and use it along with Waze. Depends on where I’m going. But that said, there is no “cheap” way to do what you want. Many have tried over the past eight years and most have failed. My recommendation is either do it right or don’t do it at all. But us old guys already know that, right! :like:

By the way the screen is the same but you need to change the APIM.

No touching involved, you're more dangerous looking at the display.

That‘s what voice commands are for. Or pulling off to the side of the road. If you feel you distracted by looking at the screen get the f-ck off the road.

Not something I contend with it's the asshats that need a frigging TV every second of the day.

You get off the fringing road, do the rest of us a favor... LMAO

In my usage, the Android Auto works great for nav and there's no need to mess with the phone to search or reroute.
