okay, i get it. at the same time though, how many posts are there on this forum from guys with PP!/2 cars that swap out rims/tires, springs, struts, sway bars, etc? After spending the $6500 for the option.
well you still have the diff, the radiator, underbody aero, brembo brakes, some
bracing. Yeah its less of a good deal but the diff is a big deal and might cost you $3k to do better for that alone in the aftermarket.

if you’re going to mod the F out of it AND you have a diff sorted, then sure the PP isn’t a great deal. Great suspension with the base diff isn’t so awesome tho.

I also went the base GT to modified route. Basically the PP1/2 cars didn’t have the setup I wanted and I wasn’t interested in paying extra for stuff I was going to take off the car. It’s a great setup if you don’t wanna wrench a bunch, or if you don’t want a very specific setup. I’ve spent a decent amount on the Steeda catalog, suspension and the PP2 pieces (lower k member brace, etc etc). All that being said, a big portion of why I bought the car is because I wanted to wrench on it. I’m also going to keep the car forever and give it to my kids, so I don’t really care how much money I spend on it over the years.

The torsen biasing while it COULD be noisier is a far superior setup than the clutched dif, and along with 3.73's (staying na this is a plus) in of itself $1200 in aftermarket.

When I bought my car last year, I didnt even know wtf a pp1/2 was, and bought the car predicated upon the rear gearing bigger brakes and cooling, i didnt even realize any of the rest. My car having all the 401A items meant more to me, than anything else.

While I still modified my car to tailor it to what i like to feel, i do not regret it one bit. Granted i bought mine used, and didnt pay anywhere near what the sticker was originally.

Even if I had bought a 350, i still wouldve modified the suspension because, i just cant help myself. lol

Would you be able to run a taller profile (35) to help with straight line speed? Or is it not enough to make that change for the loos of cornering ability.
