Bit late to this party but ordered a GT fastback manual DIB OTT stripes and nickel wheels last week.
First dealer I rang wanted $5k dealer delivery, the second $1495- !
Planning on supercharging this li'l pony, anybody else got plans and what are they?
Herrod Motorsport I believe is going the roush/ford motorsport kit, warranty impact not yet known but info expected soon( in the States for $1000- you get driveline warranty with Roush)....S/C cost installed around $12k-$13k but I guess it will hinge on where the aussie $ ends up.
Puts out 627hp at the crank.

Pretty cool video here (shows the lines nicely)of LHD Euro spec GT, clear tri lights don't look so bad IMHO in this.

There will be numerous workshops around the country who will jump on board with s/c. Could be interesting times.

The absent signature tri-lights in the headlights is just WRONG, WRONG...WRONG.

I am looking at putting a couple of snails on the engine in a few years, I will get it installed locally but buy overseas. The prices local shops are putting on S/C kits is ridiculous.

Mustang Motorsport wants $14,000 fitted with driveline warranty for the Roush supercharger, which is still subject to change (aka increase). :headbonk:

Yeah, hate this low Aus $.
Import a Roush s/c say US$7300- with freight, convert at 70c gets you to $10428-, bang the gst on that = about $11500- figure on some customs charges as well, no d/line warranty.
I figure the A$ is headed further south once rates start to move up in the US so I'll be jumping in sooner rather than later, maybe stick the s/c box in the lounge room with the Mustang brochure on it....and wait:shrug:

within the month there will be a set of the US lights in every autobarn, i wonder how many backwoods shops will try fitting the xr8 charger to the stang instead of starting from scratch.

^ We can buy the LED strips from The Lighting Firm. From memory its like $140. However, I have been unable to find a reputable shop that can bake open the factory headlamp housing and install them, plus re-epoxy them closed.

Do we know for sure the leds for front tri lights are not installed in RHD headlight housings? May be it is cheaper to leave leds in all headlights and just deactivate from bus etc,or change wiring.Just a thought.

Yeap, I was speaking to them a couple months ago. Unless the Aus Mustangs differ from all the EU/UK models. Definitely no LED boards in them.
