So I have a 2019 Mustang GT PP1.
Only Mod done so far is MBRP race exhaust.

I spoke to a local shop and he gave me a price around 8500 for a Supercharger install... it was a pro charger...

I am looking for the next bang for your buck. I’m debating on going all in on the S.C. I am curious is there any other supporting parts I need after the S.C. install?

I also debated on the next couple bang for you buck mods after the exhaust...?

he recommended pro charger because he said it comes with an inter cooler... don’t know much about the brand except a lot of people recommend Roush and Whipple here I see...

Procharger is a good kit but all supercharger kits will come intercooled so not sure why that was his selling point. If you plan on saying with the tune that comes with the kit the only one I wouldnt recommend is the edelbrock. Roush is good if you wanna stay warrantied but will typically produce less power than a whipple or vmp ect. the only thing im not sure on is how good prochargers tune is some people I have seen have had complaints.

Yeah I was researching Roush and they seem like a viable option... guess you gotta pay to play..

Procharger is a centrifugal supercharger. I builds boost the faster the engine revs. Typically little torque/boost right off idle but can build good power quickly depending on size, pulley, etc. A PD or positive displacement supercharger makes torque/horsepower right off idle and will build power very quickly. If you have a manual transmission which has longer gearing, you might want the PD blower. Right now I would do a Whipple then Ford Racing. In the Centri world lots of folks use the Procharger as it is a very easy install.

Supporting mods to consider:
DRs in the rear. Most street tires won't hook.
Springs to reduce squat at launch.
BMR CB005 to help with wheel hop.
Better axles / halfshafts.
1 piece drive shaft.

What package are you getting for the price? Stage 1 or 2, tuner kit? What tune / who's tuning? What head unit? Any fuel upgrades?

I highly recommend Procharger. I installed the “complete” kit with the P1-X head unit at 9 psi. Even with the canned tune, it produces more power than I expected. Not to mention, ATI Procharger is a very reputable company. When Installing modifications like these, I recommend taking into account the company and the support they provide. I can’t speak to whipple, vmp, or any others but I can speak to the excellent customer support and service Procharger has provided me.

As far as the Procharger tune, I have had zero issues. It truly has been a “plug and play” modification for me. The only problem is now I want more. More power and more boost but that’s what happens sometimes when you get hooked on boost!

I just did the stage 2 whipple complete kit. I didn’t use the tuner or whipple tune. Already had a n gauge and Lund so stuck with him. All I can say is holy s**%. Like I am blown away. The power is crazy. I wasn’t expecting it to come on so quick n just go go go. And I can’t hear it at all. It’s whipple is crazy quiet. Nobody would know it’s there.

If you're looking for value, here's your ticket: On3 twin kit, BAP and Injectors + aftermarket tune

I'm assuming if you're PP1 that you're MT-82. If so, the On3 setup will make more power than you can use or handle and give you room to grow and it'll be an absolute handful to drive (bordering on ridiculous) once you start feeding it proper fuel and let the boost rip. (without sophisticated boost control)

The next option would be to shop for a good used VMP or Roush setup (there's always guys looking to dump theirs and upgrade, sometimes they're guys that shops will vouch for).

Next in line would be a new P-1 setup with BAP and injectors and aftermarket tune.

How many revisions from Lund to dial in your Whipple Supercharger Kit?

I love these threads. Get a whipple. No get a turbo. No no get a pro charger. No no no get a Paxton. Op before you get anything. Educate yourself on the different types of super and turbo chargers. Figure out how much you want to spend. Figure out how much power is enough. Hint-it’s never enough. Then when you think you got it figured out. Do a little more research.

I’m on my 4th revision not counting start up tune. Just a lil over $8k. I do have the fan upgrade as well. I was in the boat of Procharger or whipple. But I am very happy with my choice.
