Well, it seems as though the time has come where a stock 5.0 wont do it anymore. I've done everything you can possibly do to the exterior, widebody, airlift, the whole getup, and now I want to start with the engine.
Now I have normal fbo (Longtubes, cai, and ported intake mani) but want something to make it not an ordinary Mustang.
I've decided to go with a Paxton sc, however I in no way have enough knowledge on boost and all that. I'm wanting to know, what all else will be needed for a supercharger build that I have to have. I do not plan on making this a full on racecar, so no e85 plans or anything, still want to daily it. Thanks in advance.

You don't need anything. Maybe drag radials to handle the new found power.

Upgraded axle shafts rated for the target HP?

For daily driving, you won't notice a lot of difference with a Paxton. A centrifugal supercharger builds most boost at high rpms. I would chose a Roots or twin screw to feel the boost when daily driving. But, you may have an entirely different objective.

Any SC will drive like stock if you stay out of boost (Tune Dependent). If you are using 93 you would not need a full return system. Just an upgraded pump or a BAP. Dunno what your goals are for the Power but 600 would be plenty just to ride around in.

Lots missing info, why did you choose a Paxton? What are your goals HP? How do you plan to use the car? Just street? Some drag strip, roll racing, autocross? You could buy any of the entry level SC kits and you don't need any supporting mods, or go for a 900hp and then the list gets long.

Hey Christian

You won't need much if you stay on 93. If you buy the beefcake special, you can get most of what you need to get what you want.

Only other things you'll definitely need will be the BAP and tune. Baily can install the kit super easily; he did Fily's and pulled mine kit off as well.

As far as other upgrades, IMO you don't NEED anything else if you're responsible and careful. You won't need halfshafts if you don't take it to the track. Drag radials will make the power more usable but not a necessity. Suspension stuff like cradle lockout, vertical links, toe links, diff bushings, etc will help out as well but not the end of the world if you don't have it. The bags won't be as good as a properly setup drag suspension but they'll do the job.

If you're a manual car, it might be worth to pick up a short throw. Other than that, the stock clutch should hold the centri power pretty well honestly. Driveshaft isn't a priority either.

If you're an auto car, converter isn't a huge deal if you don't track it.

Why a Paxton? Serious question.
What made you choose that over other types?
(Not looking for a debate with the Centri guys, just trying to find out if the Paxton is the best fit for the end user)

If the car is an auto and staying on 93 I agree. I am on stock axles with a 2300 TVS setup. I have shift points set at 7300 RPM and also run the stock oil pump gear as I have in two previous Coyote FI setups. The centri setup is going to come in easier than a PD setup. There are pros and cons to both. I know Road Cone and 80foxcoupe personally who are both on here. Road cone has gone 8.50@ 160 or so with his Whipple and 80Foxcoupe has gone 9.01 @ 150 or so on his procharger setup. So which is better? It's all about where you want the torque curve at. Both can be super ass fast as I have stated. Both will be fun on 93. I have driven both styles of car. The centri has a way of pushing you into the seat steadily deeper where as the PD pins you back right away.

Do pick up some form of anti wheel hop mods for the rear suspension. BMR makes great stuff. Other than that anything you mod additionally like axles or drive shaft is purely to provide yourself assurance if you doubt.

HAVE FUN! Getting blown is an affliction worth having! Superchargers are like wives who still give blowjobs. They both satisfy and keep a smile on your face.

Yeah man, Ive already lightly talked to Bailey about it. Was looking into the twins for a little, but obviously as that bill started racking up, I decided to go a different route lol.

If your plan isn’t to make a ton of power, twins will be excessive, especially if you’re trying to stay within a reasonable budget. Doesn’t get better than a Paxton bang for buck and it’ll be a lot less of a headache. My twin setup has already caused me triple the stress my Paxton ever did lol

I would suggest a fuel system and injectors at minimum, we have a couple options available depending on how much power you want to make out of it. I would also recommend a drag radial of some sort for traction, like others have stated, if you keep the power relatively tame, you shouldn't have issues with the factory suspension. https://www.lethalperformance.com/s...17-ford-mustang-gt/fuel-delivery/fuel-systems
