No matter my driving habit the car stay in the 14 MPG range in the dash cluster. When I fill up of course it starts over but gets into the 14 MPG range and stays. The miles to empty reflect the ~14 MPG. Tuner says fuel trims look good, sees nothing wrong. Found no codes. What has changed, added long tube headers. I never had this problem before LT header install. Anyone know what's going on?

Have you tried clearing it in the dash? Try disconnecting the battery for a few to reset everything.

Theres three MPG readings in the center screen. One on each trip meter and one on the bar graph. If you reset all those they all go back to 14?

When I fill up I reset the trip counter and it goes back to zero. I disconnected the battery during header install but not after.

They go back to zero and after driving it gets into the 14's and stays in there.

Is your driving habit pretty much the same tank to tank? Or does it not matter how you drive, it's 14 period?

It doesn't matter how I drive it stays in the 14 range. I say range because highway driving nets me 14.9 and lead foot can net me 14.0
Remember after reset (zeroize) of trip counter it works it way back to the 14 range

Go back to stock tune and drive it easy and see if it fixes this. If it does, it's tune related, if it doesn't, reload aftermarket tune and we will look into more options.

I don't think it will even run with stock tune. Just reiterating, the problem started after header install. Driving on tune for a year

Have you tried manually figuring out your gas mileage? If that comes out to like, 20 mpg and the digital readout is still 14, then there's something going on. If the hand calculated is +/- 1 mpg of the digital readout, then I wouldn't waste any time on it.

I will do a manual calculation next fill up.
Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience? Even after years of owning the car and over a year on the current tune, after header install the whole MPG/MTE goes wonky. Yes I know it's regurgitated info calculated from sensor input, just wondering why now/what happened.

14 mpg is not all too bad imo..

I prob get like 10mpg lmao. I get maximum 14-15mpg city if i really really try but I prefer Smiles per gallon over miles per gallon

Edmumds stated 16MPG on a stock, but yours is obviously modified so it makes sense

I'm also in 14.x range. I use my car mostly for short city drives.

When I get to the freeway drive mpg might go up to low fifteens, but then it goes back to 14 in the city.

I tried to improve my driving and was having mpg screen in front of me, but couldn't out of 14.x in the city despite specifically trying to be mpg friendly.

Yeah I get 14 range on the corn when I’m hammering on it. 16 range light cruising city.
