E85 MPG?

Do it, you’ll love it! I have Ultimate Headers catted LTHs, Steeda x-pipe, factory active exhaust, PMAS CAI kit (no tune required version), Lund Racing tunes on an nGauge. I never dyno’d the car until after the mods and it made 469 rwhp /434 rwtq on the E85R tune. I also didn’t switch back and forth between tunes during the winter when I was up north. I keep mine on the Flex tune the majority of the time and just pump what I need, whether it’s 93 or E85...Easy Peasy.

The 30% less MPG is roughly accurate. Maybe less, sure is fun. Smells great when I fire it up in my shop too.

Unfortunately, winter is looming on the horizon, so I'll be aborting for premium soon for hibernation.

Agree around 30-35% decrease in mpg, but well worth it for the power increase. And with the reduced price the cost is about a wash with the decrease in mpg. If going bone stock to e85 tune you will see a significant whp gain. But as someone else mentioned, if any other mods are planned may as well do them at the same time on the tune instead of future revisions. Long tubes plus e makes these cars a different animal for still being NA. And if on e the smell with long tubes is actually pleasant pleasant where some may not think so on 93.

At the same Sunoco station today E85 was $2.66 and 93 was $3.41. You can look at as 93 is 28% more expensive than E85 or as E85 is 22% cheaper than 93. You're not really going with E85 for cost savings as those numbers because you will be getting fewer miles per dollar, you are doing it for increased horsepower.

those are good prices. here at my sunoco, 93 is 4.25 and E85 is 3.16. i get 13.5 mpg on the E with my fuel sensor saying im running 76% etoh. at this point, im not going back to 93. my cold starts are nice and quiet and the motor seems to run more smoothly as well.

I run E85 except my last fill up for winter. Don't really drive it in winter unless we've had 2 good rains to wash away the salt and the streets are dry and above 40 degrees. Just mostly starts to keep everything moving and lubricated.

It shouldn't be compared to 93 octane for cost. Compare it to 100 to 105 octane for $/mile; those numbers are more apples to apples and e85 comes out way ahead cost wise.

I have the PBD flex fuel tune with corsa Double x-pipe and roush cai..get like 19mpg with the e85 .Definitely makes nice to be able to go back to 91 when im not close by the gas station that not have e85.

I get 9-11 mpg driving locally and around 16-18 mpg on the freeway. I see estimated range of 160-170ish every time I fill up

At the track, I was seeing 6 mpg lol ...though I'm not sure how accurate that is as I haven't measured manually

In my 2015 truck I get a combined average of 14.6-15.6, about 30/70 city/highway. Crew 4x4 short bed, 305/45r22s, 350 manifold, LTH, ported tb, tuning by Oz. Truck has 3.31s and I realize it's very very different than most here being a completely different chassis and most here are also 6MT vs my 6AT. But on E-free fuel it gets about 18-19, 20 if I'm nice and to go with 91 it's a minimum of $1.50/gallon more around here. I don't even have 93 where I'm at except for a single walmart whereas e85 is available pretty much everywhere

I can’t afford it. Now if I had someone sponsor me some of my expensive parts then maybe. Or if god would have made me rich instead of so good looking. But we play the hand we are dealt.
