Hi, curious what the OEM strut tower brace is made from. Looks aluminum in color? I'm thinking about getting the Ford Racing one because it comes with the rear k brace (I think that's what I've seen it called). The FR one states its steel, has me half guessing the OEM was steel too, just wanted to check first. Thanks.

The Ford Racing STB is steel as well but painted black and says "Ford Racing", unlike the PP bar.

I would go with the Ford Racing kit. The combination of the K and strut braces is going to be much more effective than just a strut brace. Plus, lots of places are advertising the Ford Racing kit for $179 and a co-worker asked for a discount when he ordered from LMR and got it for $168 with free shipping.

Sounds like a plan. I have a $20 off coupon at summit racing and there is one local to me so that's probably where I'll pick it up.

So anyone want to share any install tricks for the K brace. I was on another thread last night and saw someone mention having to remove the wiper arms. Not sure if that was for the same K brace though??

You do not have to remove the wipers to put the k brace on. Just undo all the clips from the upper shroud, lift up, and you'll have access to all the bolt locations.

This thread is great on the stb and k brace including how to install without disassembling wipers etc: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14588&highlight=Strut+tower+brace

Super easy install without removing the wipers. Hardest part was painting, and I only say that because of all the prep work along with the two part paint process for the Ruby Red.

That looks really sharp! All that Ruby Red on the engine looks impressive! Now if you could paint the coolant tank Ruby Red too, I'd be flat out jealous

I just might do that now that you mention it.;)
If I did it I would probable only do the top half though, still like to be able to see the level of the coolant.
