I personally don't mind that the stripes are stickers versus painted, as many people have pointed out it does give you the option to remove them if you don't end up liking them or they get damaged.

That said I think the best option for the OP is to get the can sans them since they only come with the white border. You really have a lot of choices then on making them exactly the width you want and covering where you want. I like the truncated look where the stripes end on the hood and unlike some I do like the black roof/stripe combo.

There are of course other "classic" patterns to consider to make it even more unique but I find the double stripes to synonymous with Shelby.

Or combos? I like the white stripes with Grabber Blue myself but I wouldn't want it OTT, I'd probably do something like this:

I debated the stripes for a while and ended up going with them and the Black Painted Roof. No regrets and love they way they look now. I am thinking some parts of the stripes might not last as long as other parts no matter how carefully I take care and at that point, I'll be stripe less altogether. Not gonna pay the going rate...

Read Voodoo's take on stripes and now understand much more about them-couldn't find thread again to post but wanted to thank Voodoo  Also, will attempt to maintain stripes as long as possible.

Very happy with the stripes on my car. It is true they are a sticker, and they are prone to getting scratched, but for me they complete the look. Also, if I ever get tired of them, I can take them off.

Post pictures man! Thats my color combo too. I saw the youtube GT350 delivery video from user Buddha Salesman, and I instantly knew that was the combo for me.

Literally the only yellow standard 350 I've seen without them.
The only one without stripes and/or a black roof that I've seen for sure. Most others without a stripe got the black roof.

As for the topic, I didn't get stripes and I have no regrets whatsoever. I love my stripe-less Shelby. To hell with tradition. :headbang:

Love the Boss stripes but not maintaining them. Decided to go without them on my 2017 GT350 order. Hopefully the new vinyl is not so swirl prone.

I would regret NOT having the stripes personally

Yeah, but you got that cool red color, that doesn't need stripes to look great!
