With the name Jaeger, I was expecting a Guard color. Some reason I always see Jeagers wearing green clothing. Even the Strumphbundhoesen.

That horse on the front is sweet!

Your license plate reminds me of:

Awesome car.

That's certainly part of the meaning. Having been to 20+ Metallica shows in their early days they are pretty ingrained in me. :headbang:

Thanks for the compliment!

Stoli,
Thanks so much for the torn apart pics! What is the "Smart Card" gadget between gauges?

Can you post pics of the sub and Amp and their placement? I'm getting a Convertible V6 which is only available with the base 6 speaker system, so an audio upgrade for me will likely need to wait for new head units to appear on the market.

But physical placement of the sub and amp would be good to see for my future planning. Actually any more 'in process pics would be great to see too. :D

"Smart Cord" :) There's a small piece of vinyl on it to cover the always-on green light so the o looks like an a. It's for the Escort radar detector. When its gets a radar signal there's a bright ass red light that flashes on it. I have a tendency to have the stereo loud and never hear the radar go off, so this is my version of a fail-safe. ;) Maybe a little overkill, but it works for me.

The amp is in the spare tire well and the sub is just in a ported box (pic is a few posts up). I doubt that box will fit in the vert, but and decent audio shop should be able to fab you a custom one for under $200.

The easiest way to get it off is to remove the plastic radiator cover and get an arm down in there and break off the four plastic posts on the back of the oem pony emblem. They are just thin plastic and will snap right off with just a little back-and-forth. The pony will stay intact and can be re-used later.

As for the new one, if you bought it more than a week or so ago the posts aren't going to line up 100%. (He ordered a new grill to create a new mold) You'll have to drill an all new one for the top center post and then expand the the others a little up and to the left (facing the car). Once I got it to seat well, I just used some 3M double sided moulding tape to adhere it. Between to posts still being tight and the tape, it isn't going anywhere.

If you want to use the nuts and washers that it comes with, you're going to have to pull the bumper or have some seriously skinny arms. :)

How did you remove the black center to paint the rest in red?
