Thought about that - glad I didn't buy the hook that you have to cut the bumper for.

I'm considering getting exactly this. Stoli, what and where did you get the hitch and its tow hook?

I picked up the hitch, 'euro ball', and plug and play wiring harness from auto anything for a little over $200 delivered to my door.

It took about an hour and a half to install on ramps by myself. With help it probably would have been half that.

(I didn't actually buy the hook)

Guilty as charged. . The FIRM is in Starke/Keystone Heights just east of Gainesville. 1.7 miles and has track days most months on the first and third weekends. For only $200 for the day, it can't be beat for value. First timers only pay $100...

Man, I dig your car. I too want more track ability, and I just installed BMR cradle lock-out and J&M sub frame bushings. There is an airport in Victoria,Tx. near me that has contracted it's facility for "The Texas Mile" event and needs to setup an Auto X course, I'm going to lobby the port and try for a schedule. The S550 is nice with just a few important mods for track action.

Trailer complete. Mostly. And it fits in my 1.5 car garage along with the car.

Pushing harder and trying to feel out the tires since it was my first time on them. They didn't seem to let up at all after laps.

Compared to running the MPSS these are a lot more fun. You can toss the car and have lots of leeway before you get in trouble. Now I have a much better appreciation for when people have said the R compound tires cover up mistakes.

Brake duct project v2.0 -- taking back my fog lights.

I've been running the Full Tilt Boogie brake duct kit for several months and it is works great. However, I want my brake lights back. Someone <insert credit here> else had done a similar setup to what I'm trying but instead of using the the center section of the lower grill, opened up the outside sections of the grill.

Using the center should allow for a little more flow, and frankly should be easier to piece together.

This simply uses $10 worth of 4" - 3" return reducer from Home Depot. I could probably have used the plastic reducer/fog light insert that comes with the FTB kit, but I didn't want to cut into them should this setup fail.

3" section is bent from me trying to get brake hose over it. Should have listened from the strat and removed the rivet. (It's winter in Florida, I had to wear sandles instead of barefoot)

Later this week I'll pull the bumper, test fit, and then clean it up and mount everything properly
