It will be the first thing to hit on a front splitter scrape. Not sure I like it.

I like to disassemble things.
Unless you plan on hitting some extra high curbing head on you'll be fine.

The Roush has a Sto & Go. I’ve scraped it twice and broke the push pin that holds the license plate bracket in place.
Didn’t touch the front splitter at all. The Shelby has the Craig’s bracket which I like much better. Almost looks stock. I have to stop procrastinating and get a Craig’s bracket for the Roush.

I have been using the Craig’s bracket on all my S550’s with complete success. Best one on the market in my experience.

The Stow and Show is a good product, just too low for my liking.

I added an abs skid plate to protect my sho n sto plate bracket. Made out of a 6x6x3/4" abs block. Its sort of like a super slip low and is held on by the 2 splitter bolts. It takes lots of abuse.

This is why a lot of folks use Craig’s bracket

How does it attach to the car?

That looks pretty slick. How did you shape it or is it 3d printed?

EDIT: I found a pic of how it mounts. Looks like some double sided tape.

its houston, man, cops don't care about front plates.
I never run a front plate. I may get a ticket every 10-15 yrs. Even then it's DPS not local PD. I would rather pay the rare ticket.

I removed my Sto and Sho. 1 I don't use a front plate. 2 I was afraid that bracket may catch and do more damage than a slight scrape on a low item. Like rip the splitter or the pan.

A TX DPS trooper stopped me in my Charger Hellcat. He walked to the front and was shocked I had a front plate. He was about to write a me a ticket for it. It was a Sto N Sho also but mounted up higher.

ZL1 Add Ons might have additional solutions.

https://zl1addons.com/collections/license-plate-holders/products/mustang-license-plate-holder

For those of you weighing license plate options for your M1, if you have an HP in-particular, attached are some photos of Skye.

I purchased a complete tow hook assembly from ZL1 Addons; this included a shaft for screwing into the receiver and the hook itself. The hooks can be bought in black, red or no color, if you want to locally power coat a custom color.

I also purchased a plate assembly only, for the tag..

From the photos, I can readily switch from plate to hook and back in moments. It's in a nice place, not blocking anything.

I plan on leaving the hook on and carrying the plates. If pulled over, I'll claim I just came back from the track and forgot to put the plate back on. :bandit:
