Awesome work!! Once all is said and done, if everything works out, any chance of an idiots guide to doing this? Parts needed, where to buy, where or who to get programming done, etc? OR thinking of making some kits to sell with all the necessary parts and programming completed?

I do plan to do a write up once I get mine installed!

Comes with 5 per pack. They are a bit overpriced though so if we can find a aftermarket pin that works that will be better.

Are you going to epoxy the bezel on or are there provisions in the back of it to screw it on? How much did shapeways charge for the bezel?

Yep... Same here. I even contacted the manufacture, said won't produce without at least 50 unit order.
I've already got mine working, just trying to figure out bezel and sync. PAC unit on the way and we'll see...:shrug:

So, you got an 8inch screen to work?

Yeah, used a witson unit for Focus/Escape. Everything works except for the factory Sync and don't have a bezel.. If the premium bezel didn't have different climate controls I'd just use one.
Stay tuned here, these guys are headed in the right direction, from what I see and a far more familiar with this stuff. I have $550 into it. If the PAC works then just need a bezel. There methoid will probably save ya some $.

I wish they would've put that 50 unit stipulation in the description
field instead of offering 1 unit for sale the way they did. I was really interested in getting one. But I am very excited to see the finished products in this thread. :clap2:

I have designed it to use 3m adhesive backed tape on the front surface and then be clamped on the back with custom brackets I am making. I wanted to stay away from epoxy.

For a part of this size, shapeways I think was very reasonable. I do plan on selling this bezel after I do my install. Will probably be around $70-$80.
