OBD2 data in a quadrant is not a factory option that I know of. I also won't divulge how I do the programming of the APIM. Some things I just can't release.

Haha up to you! We do NOT have a definitive answer yet as to what is needed to do the swap but we are close to testing!

It will be interesting to see how it works once I program it for Zack. Just wish we were a bit closer so it could be done in person. With shipping times he probably won't have it back until the end of the week. So we will have to wait till then.....

And just to be clear...this is *only* a screen upgrade, correct? Merely the interface. Anyone wanting to upgrade audio and what not would still need to look into external amplifiers/speakers etc

Yes. The ACM or headunit will remain stock. Any upgrade in sound quality will have to come from an external amp and speakers.

Got my card reader today! Stuck with an A3 maps card though... Will have to update to A6 card at some point.

Ok so a small update....

Got all the wiring needed for the sd card reader as well as a few extra pins for the APIM connector. The plan is to install the reader either this Thursday or this weekend.

Still need to finalize the bezel and get it ordered from shapeways... Hopefully will be doing that tonight. Once I get the APIM back I will hook it back up for testing and report back. Look for a full install not this weekend but next as long as the programming was a success!

Awesome work!! Once all is said and done, if everything works out, any chance of an idiots guide to doing this? Parts needed, where to buy, where or who to get programming done, etc? OR thinking of making some kits to sell with all the necessary parts and programming completed?
