Is there anything else needed besides a screen, a reprogram, and moving around a couple of pins? What does adding nav involve?
We still don't know the full extent of what will be needed. As it stands currently your list is correct.

Adding nav requires the multimedia module. This module is what has the sd card reader. Base model vehicles simply do not have this module or any wiring for it. So all of the wiring for this module will have to be added and run to the center console. There are about 10 wires that will be added for the module.

So If I wasn't worried about nav . . . Just a screen, a reprogram and your bezel. Is there a way to tell if the screen has nav or not based on the part number or does it even matter if it is going to be reprogrammed anyway?

If your not going for NAV...honestly don't believe there is much to gain by retrofitting MFT.

Imo the back up screen upgrade is worth quite a bit!!!

Its go the moving path and the back up alarms light up yellow wherever the obstruction is.

Thats only if you already have it. The alarm obstructions as you call them require the back up sensors.

The backup cam on the 4.2" screen is pretty much unusable... That nice 8" screen really helps out.

I agree with that. It is nice to have that backup camera but it really needs to be bigger and this fits the bill.

Sorry about that aggieStang! Yes everything works with the exception of one thing. I currently have no audio during a phone call and no audio for sync voice prompts. Jmr believes he as already located the issue though. The base ACM programming needs to be modified slightly to get this working. Other then that everything works!
