Hey guys,
Just finished my first track session and really wish I knew how to heel toe downshift. I had tried practicing a few months ago, but it's extremely difficult for me since my accelerator and brake pedals are so far apart. Even with the car off, with the left corner of my foot on the brake, I still can't twist my foot far enough to even tap the accelerator. Not until I brake extremely hard (which would probably result in me skidding if I tried it on the road).
I've heard of some people saying they literally use their heel, but again the distance is so far apart, my heel would have to be further than the top of the foot by several inches, which I can't imagine doing comfortably and smoothly since they're so far apart. It'd be like standing up and trying to walk on your heels, except bending the top part of your foot further up than you can do so comfortably.
That being said, does anyone recommend the steeda heel toe pedal kit? I saw some other recommendations about doing another mod that'll result in the accelerator pedal being a little closer, closing the gap between the brake and accelerator pedals.
